Hi Pamela, my cat Chicamonkey had bloodwork for IAA and Igf1, both came back positive but the vet said the tests are inconclusive until we reach 9 units bid and retest.
How much do you feed amethyst?
What does she weigh?
Does she have any physical features of acro?
Are you using carbergoline? Or any other treatment?

HI Suzi. Amethyst was diagnosed Insulin Resistant and ACRO 9/17/2017. Per @Wendy&Neko recommendations. Her numbers came back at the low end then But I have been told that the Tumor can do more damage with age.Amethyst and her brother JoJo are 20 lbs They are both big cats Their Mother was also a large cat. Amethyst and JoJo love the Fancy Feast Pates,NO DRY FOOD or TREATS! She does not have any physical features of ACRO.THe only change sine the ACRO diagnose is that she now SNORES She has been on Tuna Almond Flavored Cabergoline,liquid,1.5ml once every morning for almost 4 years now. Our Vet and myself feel that it is definitely helping Amethyst. I have had a GOFUNDME on line for a year trying to raise the money for her SRT But I not had much success with donations I am going to transition her Off the Gabapentin and onto CBD OIL for her pain and any other discomfort she maybe feeling. Have you ever had her Igf1 retested or resistance retested? I’m curious and wonder if carbergoline reduces Igf1 levels?
