3/11 Marley |AMPS 46|+3 113|+4 178|

+10 minutes: 46!

I fed him. I don't mind shooting since I've shot at 55/60, but should I reduce his dose to 2.25U going forward? He's been creeping lower and lower

Yes, he earned a reduction to 2.25U with that 46. We don't shoot below 50 though. What he ate is his usual LC?

Yes. He just ate. He probably came down because he hasn't eaten in a few hours. I'm afraid not to shoot at all because he has a history of sky-rocketing when not shooting and he gets very sick

I already gave the 2.25 after he ate because I didn't want to wait too long past his shoot time and assumed the 46 was a reduction

Since he seems to nadir at the end of the cycle, it may make sense to set an alarm or an auto-feeder for +9 and get some food into him so he doesn't dip too low at AMPS to shoot.

You hold the syringe and know him best, but we strongly advise against shooting numbers below 50 - especially falling numbers.

I'm going to try and get him accustomed to the auto-feeder again because I'd like to use it. I just don't want him hurting himself again. Maybe now that he has lower numbers and isn't insatiable, he may not be so aggressive. He was eating probably 600 calories when he was in the 400-HI range and still trying to eat. So setting up the auto-feeder to made him aggressive and would tear up his mouth. Hopefully now that he's eating a bit more normal, he won't be feeling the need to attack it to get all the food he smells.
