3/6 Minnie PMPS 264, +2 241, +9.5 264

How's Little Miss Minnie today?
I saw your questions about the Acro/IAA testing. I decided to do both at once for that reason... the blood samples were all sent frozen and express shipping to Michigan... and a sizeable portion of the cost for me was the shipping ($75).

She is doing well! I have had a reality check about the testing routine, finally up at 1pm after naps since 4am. This is not sustainable for me! Hopefully bringing the schedule forward will help.

I will do both together but have postponed - my own vet didn't have her lab's code for the IAA test and can't order the test without the code. Her lab has their own set of codes separate from Michigan's code. Plus gives us time to collect more data at this 4u/yellow situation - though I'm not entirely sure how much that 'real' improvement' vs result of switching to the human meter!

OH the glasses arrived, earlier than promised! They come with 5 different strength lenses and have arms like eyeglasses that can be switched out with an elastic strap that goes round your head. I don't desperately need them at the 4u but definitely would be a great help drawing up the insulin in smaller quantities. I give them 2 paws up at $13.

What time do you usually give insulin?
Original target was 8/8 though it (used to) fluctuate +/-30min before I started paying such close attention to the rules. Moved to 10:00 thanks to PMPS 40 stall last w/e (and my panicky HC response to our first lime!) and struggled to pull earlier this week by 15min increments. Now at 915 - the 1xday 30min changes were more successful.

+6.75 was fun. Grabbed a test when she woke up, teeny blood sample/double dip gave reading of 36. Shaky hands took another sample, 2 more readings with the Freestyle (97, 106) and 1 from the Novamax (130). Gave MC 5% snack and will retest.

This morning experimented a bit with food - normal 5% for AMPS/breakfast. 0% for +4 snack. 5% for +7 snack (after advice from Elise and Wendy on yesterday's lower numbers when I gave her 10% MC and they would have stuck with LC).

+8 a bit lower, 89. Tried to get another reading but failed...had a hard time getting enough blood today. More sleep, less poking/feeding today. Numbers seem ok though.
