2/26 Abby AMPS 128 / +5 118 / pmps 135 / +3 65 try OTJ?

I'm sure those who have seen more cats will chime in but Gideon Blue was a bit lower on the AT2 (ECID is though...and this is the only one I could personally think of) - they switched to a human meter for the trial. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...0sYe47lHox5MN1VzhnyuGfM_U42fya2ftqCQn/pubhtml

You could also switch to a human meter to see those numbers since there is no true comparison between the two meter types.

In any case, Abby's looking beautiful!

It's another reason to switch to a human meter IMHO. The dosing methods were all written using human meters as they were written before the invention of the AT2 meters.

Hope you'll consider it...

Abby looks like she's doing quite well on her 'drop'. Good girl :)

Have a great evening!

So Abby had a surprise drop at +3 tonight (I tested her twice to be sure). She is acting fine and I’m monitoring her.

Thoughts on whether to try OTJ or to ignore tonight’s drop?

Human meter will arrive tomorrow so maybe another day on drop and assuming numbers stay the same then try with human meter? When I switch meters is there any SS trick other than insert row to identify change?

There is a formatting change that needs to be done to change limes to below 50 rather than 68. Let me know when you're ready to make the switch and I'll do it for you :-)

The other thing you could try is to get tests earlier in the cycle (+1.5, 2 etc) and feed the drop so that she doesn't go lime. Not sure what your feeding schedule is...

I’m glad you are getting a human meter. We had Gideon do that so we could safely keep him on a drop and we did need to feed a little higher higher carbs to keep him from dropping too low. It helped and he successfully went OTJ. You are so close but a little more support than bring the numbers down is wise so you have a strong remission.

Thanks all for the responses. Sounds good re keeping Abby on a drop for a bit longer so we can see where she is at on a human meter. Hopefully she follows Tina’s and Gideon’s example. @tiffmaxee when you say a little higher carb, what % should I aim for? Abby is currently on 3-5%. Thanks all for the encouragement.

Now I'm doubting myself! My goodness, didn't Abby earn a reduction with that 65?? Which would be to zero?

Still, the drop and your attention will be fine;)

My goal was under 130 at AMPS and PMPS (on the AT), until we were pushed to go lower OR to get a human meter. I see Abby is so so close.

Excited about your human test!!!

You want to give her enough carbs to prevent her from dropping under 50 on the human meter and so you see mostly green on your ss. Look at Gideon Blue’s ss. You want a strong remission and Abby’s has too much blue and higher blues at that during the day. I’d see what 10% does and if too low give 14%. Were you feeding to prevent the drops into the 50’sat night or only lc?

I was only feeding her LC because she is fairly carb sensitive (both from the LC dry food experiment and just seeing LC stop and raise her BG consistently). She was 103 this morning so definitely dropping down. I expected her to be a bit higher with a bounce from last night (not a huge bounce, but higher than 103). I'll research some 10% food. thanks!
