23/2 Chico PMPS 130; 106@0.5; 106@1; 92@2; 77@3; 90@4

Can you monitor as long as needed? Do you have plenty of test strips and hc, mc etc? Will likely keep dropping without food but grab one more test to see.

Ok. Let’s see the next test.we want to keep over 90 to avoid a reduction unless he has other ideas.

My pleasure. That early in the cycle cycle and new I would have still suggested mc. I would have said waiting an hour was fine and would have let you know 50 vs 90 but otherwise nothing would have changed.

No worries, @tiffmaxee is guiding us thru it
You are in good hands.

I was looking for a thread this afternoon when I saw he had gone from black to yellow this pm. I thought you might see a blue PS, nice shooting.
I had just got back in from walking the dogs when you posted, but had some work to do so I didn't come on the board.

Seems like you 've managed to slow him down, nice he is back to green.

the black surprised us in the morning and his progress was as well unexpected, we weren't prepared for such a low blue preshot

i envy your walk, we were supposed to go after the PS :D but Chico decided otherwise

He spent over 24 hours in low yellow and blue. I thought that maybe had triggered a bounce last night.

But tonight is also 6 cycles from the greens, perhaps even though he gave you those nice blue cycles he hadn't quite cleared the bounce completely and tonight is the definite bounce clearing cycle.

It's not the first time he has thrown you a high number followed by 'surprise' drop in the following cycle.

He is wearing his coat of many colours today.

Just when we though we understood the bounces...

yeah, that he likes: surprising us with values :D

and no matter how many times i tell myself not to react to single values, the blacks and the reds are getting me disappointed

but overall, we can clearly see he spends much less time in black and reds compared to caninsulin, maybe time helps as well but lantus is clearly more suitable for him. caninsulin had one advantage: the cycles we very easy to read: active cycle, bounce cycle, no connection between them : D

he increased to 90 @4; can i feed 10g of 2%? the increase might be because of all the MC, right?
If he usually gets a snack now feed him his regular snack of LC.
Or if he doesn't usually, give him 1 TSP of LC to see if he will stay flat and surf for you

He had the MC at +.5, I think that will have worn off by now.

The rest of the time you gave a mix so it's more like higher LC so you don't need to worry about that.

He usually gets a snack at this time, i can give him the 10g LC cause i need to give the probiotic with it.
Can i check again in 1 hour or better in half?

Your welcome. Last night you could have stopped testing at +5 or 6 because he was flat. I am sorry to didn’t come back and tell you to go to sleep. A good rule of thumb when flat green try going two hours without food and if still above 60ish you are safe. I hope you can catch a nap today. Nice blues so far today as well. :)
