Yesterday Ruby's eating improved but I'm still a bit worried about her as something seems to be a bit off about her energy. She is clinging to me a bit more than usual.

Healing thoughts for all of the sick kitties. Happy Caturday everybodee.

Sometimes it seems like it's always something with these kitties:bighug:. Any idea why she is being clingy? You don't think she is in any pain, do you? If you think she could be, may be worth using the feline pain scales info to check.
Sending vines to Ruby and hoping that she feels better later today:bighug:.

Ruby has been acting so strange since the mirtz so it’s been hard for me to tell. Been looking at her ears and muzzle and her muzzle seems to be a bit flattened but not severely so. She’s been in a meatloaf position a lot but in a relaxed way that’s more about keeping her limbs warm than any sort of tense clenching. I will continue to keep an eye on her.

If you think she is experiencing odd behaviour on mirtz...it could be that. Would you consider switching her to a different appy stim med to see if that helps? Have you heard of cyproheptadine? I use that for butters instead of mirtz.

I have not heard of cyproheptadine. I will definitely ask my vet about it. Ruby’s next dose of mirtz is this evening and I will give her half to see if she’s less loopy. Thank you, Lyla!

They sure make us worry don't they.
My DBF thinks I'm being too obsessive about everything going on with Ruby and I'm reading too much into subtle signs. My concern is that I am missing something that is more serious. In the past I would not have worried if she didn't eat for a day. Since her DKA and her CKD diagnosis, every meal she walks away from is a bad sign. I guess part of the reason I am here every day is that you all understand my mania.

I sure do understand everything you are feeling. I am the same way
Guys just don't understand .
You are an amazing mama to Ruby!!
I was even worse when it came to my love Perry who had CKD, you probably already know about him.

I'm praying for her everyday that she feels better.
Will check in later to see how she's feeling.
You hang in there also Katherine ♥:bighug::bighug::bighug:

PMPS = 89. Gave Ruby the cerenia before her PMPS meal and she ate everything in her bowl, so I don't think mirtazapine is necessary anymore unless she doesn't eat tomorrow morning. My civvie Olive has also decided today that she isn't eating either, so I'm going a little cuckoo. o_O

I'm glad to hear Ruby ate in her own , without the cerenia pill.
So she ate the pill pocket ,she's a smart kitty .
I hope she continues to eat on her own
Sorry to hear that Olive decided not to eat, keeping my paws crossed that in the
morning they both decide to eat their breakfast ♥:bighug::bighug:
