2/7 Sandy AMPS 103/94@+4/97@+8/83@+10

Good report on Sandy so far. I hope you are feeling well rested Liza.

Can you tell me what time of the day it is please? I think the SS is all out of kilter with all the stalling and the skip.
I will ask @Bandit's Mom, when she comes online a bit later, to contact you and see if she can fix the SS so the AMPS and PMPS are reflecting the correct times. So watch for a PM from her a bit later. Thanks.

Sandy’s numbers have been good today with no insulin.
He’s been eating ff pate mostly and some freeze dried snacks. Ketone tests still negative. Hopefully it will continue this way.
Excellent. This is what I was hoping to see.

It looks to me like she has properly annotated stalls. Can you pls give me an example where it’s incorrect? Thank you.

What Liza needs to do is manually color in all the cells in white. When they have anything but the BG, they have to be manually colored. Liza..if you need help with that, just PM me as Bhooma is probably in bed.

It’s 7:30pm here right now.
I was told to start over today because yes the amps and pmps where switched because of stalls before.

I’m not sure what you mean. I don’t know how to do many things on here like highlights because I’m doing everything from my phone and I really don’t know how to do any of that. This is all new to me too so I don’t really understand the lingo either regarding the SS

Just figured out how to post pics on here. This is his chart so far today. I just put in a new sensor this morning so hopefully it will last the full 14 days so I can keep monitoring him well

.
Looks like Liza has already done the change over Marje.
What was happening was that the AMPS cycle was running as the PMPS cycle and visa versa. That was mainly because of the skip.
Yes the stalls were all done correctly but the time kept moving on. Instead of moving back to a good time schedule, she moved forward as it was fewer hours to do that, and that threw the AMPS and PMPS timing on paper completely out, if that makes sense.

Great...thank you for the explanation as it all looked fine to me :p

Sandy is looking good Liza
:D
managed to get some sleep (a lot actually), and my husband watched over Sandy and was scanning hi. To leave sure he was ok. The sensor stopped working last night and I picked up another this morning and placed it on him. T
They get wonky when their time is up.

You mentioned in your previous thread that you have more fur babies. Cats? Dogs?

As Sandy starts feeling perkier and more active if you feed kibble or HC food to the other furbabies, it can get really tricky. I speak from experience, we had an outdoor semi feral that had kibble, she would come and go as she pleased, it wasn't feasible to have wet food out for her. her bowl was up high so my dogs wouldn't get it. We were on vacation and my petsitter didn't think that 20yr old arthritic George could access the kibble, she let him out in the courtyard, didn't have eyes on him all the while, and he got into the kibble.
that was on 5/30/2018 just one raid sent him out of his normal range for about 2 days.

We had another contraband incident on
4/13/2019 he got into some kibble in a bag in the hallway, we were back from vacation and at the cattery they will only feed dry so my other kitties had been on dry food, we accidentally left a bag with their kibble in the hallway. He found it, chewed through the bag, and again about 24 hours of higher than normal BG for him.

They are really sneaky and that kibble smells so good to them that they sure will sniff it out, even just a few pieces can make a big difference, so you want to be sure it doesn't happen too often, if at all.

Looking good so far Liza. Is he still eating well and active?
Yes he is, his appetite seems to be back so I’m thinking he’s not as nauseas as he was before.
He’s had the ff gravy couple of times and his number goes up some. Which I know because of food, then it comes back down to normal numbers.
Does this mean he’s processing the sugar the way he’s supposed to?

This is definitely something I’m worried about! I have a huge pack at home. 5 large dogs and 3 more cats. So far so good as Sandy has his own room now (Son just moved out) and one of my other cats lives keeping Sandy company. In their room it’s easy to monitor what he’s eating. I do let him out and he walked around the house and up on the counter where I feed our other cats. I’m having to cover up the kibble when he’s roaming around. I’m actually thinking of getting a different kind of kibble that maybe won’t harm him, and I’ll just switch over all the cats if I have to.
Any suggestions on kibble he can have? I’ve heard young again? I forget who makes it.
I will still cover it up when he’s around but I’d rather have something that’s not so bad for him just in case he does get to it.
On a good note, I’m putting out wet food in the main feeding area too and my other cats are absolutely loving it!
