It’s pawty time for the Full Wolf Moon! Of course there will be traditional favorites as purrpared by my mentors, Chef Rusty, Chef Felix and the Kitchen Krews of yore at Wolf Moons past:

Appetizers: Wolfpack Beer; Hot Tuna Toddies with crunchy croutons ; Glüwein; Hot Buffalo Chicken Wings; Assorted Paw Prints Pizzas (with wolf paw prints); Sushi Bar specialties of Sushi Chef Tux and featuring fresh-caught, Indian Lake fish.

Entrees: Chef Rusty's Thunderin' Bison Chili; Mousehead Goulasch; Roasted Mallard Duck; Grilled Wild Turkey Sausages; Chef Mannie's Renowned PNW Poached Sockeye Salmon with Catnip Mayo; Fresh-caught Fried Northern Lake Trout; Chicken 'n Biscuits.

Salad: Butthead's and Donny's Marinated Winter Field Greens; Adirondack Hot Slaw.

Desserts: Moon Pies; Maggie's Signature Cheesecakes with Iceberries; Cranberry Torte à la Chief Pastry Chef Tess; Surprise Dessert à la Dessert Chef Sootie; Tobey's Cimmamum Cookies; Chef Stu's World Famous Catmint Parfaits.

Newer traditions include Leo's Chunky Tuna and Salmon Ice Cream with Sardine Sprinkles; Chef Felix's Sweet and Savory Crunchy Crouton Toppers; Olive's Shoelaceghetti with a side of pickles; TinySolé's sister Cookie's cod brownies filled with catnip; PussCatDusty's crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers (mmmmm, crunchy!) as well as her sweet and sour skink tail vol-au-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls; Chef Felix's Mediterranean platter with crunchy falafel, catmint mewli-tabouli, and smoked papurrika hummouse; Chieflet Luna's Longtail Surprise à la Rosa and Regan. You'll find Bella's Catinis at the Tiki Hut.

Not feeling up to whooping it up? Fear not! The Taster Blankets, as well as Olive’s Memorial Blanket are spread for kitties who are grieving and for kitties who are too unwell for dancing and feasting (but maybe the special menu will tempt you to just a bite or two). Taster Blanket Coordinator Idjit will make sure you get a warm spot, and Taster-Kitchen Liaison Roxi will make sure each bite is just perfect. And you’ll have an excellent view of the Circle of Remembrance when all the kitties will join you as the veil thins to see all our beloved GAs partying alongside us.

Ruby and the Kittens will be busting out their best dance moves. And would love for you all to join in and dance along with them! And DJ Molly has her turntables at the ready to keep the music flowing all night long.

Luci is looking up at that big moon right now! It's rising just through the trees as we speak...soon she'll be attending the pawty with the rest of the kitties while her exhausted mama stumbles off to bed. I'm sure they'll have a wonderful time howwwwling and dancing and having a fine ole time with all the other kitties waiting for the veils to lift at mid-night. Luci is wearing her favorite (Not MINE) PINK horrible dress that she appears to have drug out of the back of the closet for this special occasion:facepalm::p...try not to laugh at her in her hideous pink dress...I'm hoping she'll shed that thing soon.:rolleyes:

Ya'll have a wonderful time tonight at the pawty! Howwwllllling at the Wolf Moon! It sure is beautiful! The sky is clear and it's going to be a beautiful night.

Tux and PJ are bringing the electric blankies as it's below 0 here.

Tripper, mom is keeping home cuz of the cold and her age. Wez ready for hot toddies. Moon pies and parfaits yummmmmm.

Can't wait for veil to lift so we can see Olive and let mom know she is ok. She loved Kenny Rogers music, purred real loud when it was on in car.
 
Civvie Gus has his snowshoes on and is heading out the door into a magical moonlight-on-snow night. Cold here (going down to -10 tonight), and the moon is so bright that you can see the trees' shadows clearly.
What a great menu, Chef Luna! And what nifty aprons for the Kitchen Krew! Party on, kitties! Howl at the Wolf Moon, and during the Circle of Remembrance send greetings to the GAs at the Bridge Kitchen, cooking up a storm.

It's almost time kitties. The moon is so bright and the sky is so clear. And the veil is getting thinner as midnight draws close. Look carefully to catch the first glimpse of all the kitties at the Bridge, pawtying alongside us. For a while, we can party with them all and give them the messages our humans have sent for them. And after the Circle of Remembrance, the party will continue both here and at the Bridge until dawn. ~Chef Luna

I didn’t know there were parties going on. Dolly will be there in her most fabulous attire. I was wondering why she was howling all day. She can’t wait to try the chunky tuna and salmon ice cream with the sardine sprinkles. :p Thanks for the invitation, see you all soon with her dancing paws on. :joyful::joyful:

Hi Friends,

Mom has been AWOL so we apologize for not writing (polydactyl Dancer would have written but pens aren’t her thing). We put our collective paws down this morning and said, “Mom, come on!!!” Mom apologists for being so way way way behind in keeping in touch.

We’re coming tonight and looking forward to chipping in with Kitchen Krew and helping out wherever you’d like. Spunky says she’d like to hang out and help at the taster blanket bc she’s feeling a bit off lately.. We’re looking forward to seeing old friends, meeting new ones and of course the Circle of Remembrance .

Sootie hasn’t yet divined us what the surprise dessert will be but we think it’s gonna be just the ticket to warm up on this chilly night!

Sorry I missed the pawty! Being on the other side of the world means it all happens at different times. Plus mumma says I'm too old and frail to be out late at night. Maybe I can make it to a taster blanket one time soon! I miss all the delicious fuds... And I'd like to see my big brother and twin sister again. I'll tell mumma to keep watching for the next pawty so I don't miss it!

Hi, Carla. Apologies for not replying sooner. Good to hear from you, too. Hope you all are ok in these covid times.

We’re ok though I got quite sick after returning in mid March 2020 from a when-if-ever bucket list knitting trip that began in Oslo for a few days, then north across the arctic circle, and then south along to western coastline to Bergen.

It was a wonderful trip but still feeling the effects of the illness. I took lots of photos during the trip but just haven’t felt well enough and focused enough to sort through them and post with some stories. Covid, “mild” or severe, is horrible.

Turned out I was exposed to covid and likely had a “mild” case even though I tested negative on the swans (then, late last year tested positive in the antibody test) Covid, “mild” or severe, is horrible.

I think of everyone in Fdmb every day and wish all members and their two footer and four footer family members good health and am crossing paws that we’ll all see some light at the end of the covid tunnel soon.
