Time for shot bg 169 dosing advice plz

Tested Bell she was at 142, gave her her dinner and waited 4o mins tested again and she is only at 169. Not sure to shoot or what to shoot, any advice?

If you can monitor tonight I might do 1. I wouldn't do more because you fed so that number might be higher from the food. Next time stall without food.

Next time you get a Pre-shot you're not sure about shooting, stall, DON'T feed and test again in 20-30 minutes. By feeding her, you artificially raise the number so there's no way to know if she's higher due to the food, due to the last shot starting to wear off, or some of both.

If she's high enough to shoot in 2 hours, you could do it then, but that means being off your usual shot schedule. You can work your way back to your chosen shot time by adjusting by 15 minutes per cycle or 30 minutes per day .....but that's only if you can change your shot time by that much

The vet didnt mention anything about it when he did her blood work and diagnosed her

Well I messed that up big time, but she usually goes up alot more than that after feeding. I dont know what I was thinking, these lower numbers are messing me all up lol

Im really leaning toward not doing it, I would rather have her higher than to low, she is starting to do better and I dont want to mess her up!

Don't worry about it....You'll have plenty of other times to stall in the future! It's all part of learning the sugardance!
