Is she eating anything for you, Becca? Also have you managed to do a check for ketones?

She ate a couple of bites of dry kibble about an hour after her episode. And as for the ketones, I caught her at +40.5 with a negative.

The pepcid said now to chew but can I crush it?
Is it the Pepcid AC?

This is from a Feline Kidney Disease website (emphasis mine). It is worth bookmarking this page because it has a lot of information about and tips for feline nausea.

https://felinecrf.org/appetite_loss_nausea_vomiting.htm

Pepcid AC (Regular Strength) in the USA contains 10mg of famotidine. If you opt for the brand name, there are quite a few Pepcid products available so make sure you buy the correct one. You need Pepcid AC 10mg but not the chewable type, and not Pepcid Complete, both of which have some ingredients which make them unsuitable for CKD cats. There is also a new version called Pepcid Maximum Strength, which is the same as Pepcid AC except that it contains twice as much famotidine, so be very sure you have the correct strength (10mg tablets).

Using generic famotidine is acceptable, but make sure it is the correct strength and that it does not contain any additional ingredients.

Ughh I got pepcid 20mg and it's not chewable...but rather shove it down her throat I was hoping to crush it and put in into some baby food...she ate a little bit of kibble and is now sleeping so I'm thinking she able to hold it down.

According to Chewy.com the carb content is 36% (I'm assuming that this is on a dry matter basis.)

You could let her graze for a little while on the HC dry food to see whether she can hold it down. While higher carbs are not the ideal, if Candi can eat it OK then it could be something to tide her over till you can get to the vet tomorrow. Then you could withhold all food for 2 hours and do a check at AM+11.5 and PMPS. Comparing the two readings should give you a good picture as to whether Candi's BG is rising at PMPS.

I'd then refer you back to my post of this morning to help you with your dosing decision. Assuming that Candi is able and willing to eat the HC kibble and hold it down, it's likely that her PMPS BG level will be higher than normal but I'd still suggest that you reduce the dose per the comments in my post of earlier in the day.

But by how much do u think? If I cant get an answer and if it's pretty high, I feel either 0.25u or 0.5u should be fine. It will be coming on 48 hours without insulin and from what advice I'm reading she'll need some. Some is better than none at this point I feel.

I've given all the suggestions I'm comfortable with in the earlier post, Becca. Other members may have a different take. Perhaps start a new thread after the +11.5 BG test saying you need Vetsulin dosing advice for this evening and you may get different suggestions. This thread's now very long and you may get a better response on the new, shorter thread. Be sure to select the question mark icon next to the thread title to attract more attention to your thread. Also post a link back to this thread in the first post of the new one so that members replying can check back on history.

WRT reducing the daily dose, I recommend referring to the dosing guidelines in the FDMB Vetsulin guide (link in earlier post), but you could also ask about that in your new thread too.
