Today was a bit of a challenge with the board down, so I probably was more conservative than necessary. Was worried about dropping really low and not having easy access to advice. :nailbiting:

Was up late last night monitoring and Cole was at 97 at +6 last night after his PM Shot @ 2.75u.

This morning he was only a little bit up at 101 for his AMPS - the lowest AMPS he's had since we started the journey. So I decided to feed him LC food, but reduce his dose to 2.0u - and maybe this was the wrong thing to do, but I was pretty nervous.

The rest of the day looked like this
AMPS @ 101 * fed LC breakfast, * shot reduced dose at 2.0u
+1 @ 119 * no food
+2 @ 104 * 1 tbs LC food, and 1 tsp MC gravy
+3 @ 95 * 1 tbs LC food, and 1 tsp MC gravy
+4 @ 115 * 1/2 tbs LC food
+5 @ 139 * 1 tbs LC food
+8 @ 189 * no food

Tried to slow down his slide with a little gravy and then stopped when he seemed to flatten out.

I realize that the depot from the earlier 3.0u shots is still in play, and will go back to his 2.75u shot tonight if things look ok.

Feedback welcome... still learning a lot :bookworm:

Great job, Elizabeth and Cole :bighug:

And maybe someone mentioned this before but just wanted to note you start your cycle count over for TR any time you skip or take a reduced dose. So tonight will be cycle 1 of 6 for 2.75u (unless he earns a reduction of course :).

Surf safely :cat:

Cole isn't really interested in bouncing much, is he? LOL. He is starting to look like a different cat.
I think you did fantastic and it's good that you erred on the side of caution with the board being down. You got him to do a nice beachy surf!
Also, better too high for a day than too low for a minute. :bighug:
Not much of a food bump to +1. I probably would've given a bit of LC food at +1 and +2 but no MC gravy then. That likely would have changed his numbers so I can't really say what else I might've done as it would depend on what I was seeing.
I generally try to stick with LC in those numbers unless there is a dramatic drop.

Thanks Lyla - such a difference in his numbers in the last couple of days! I really didn't know about the gravy but I could have tried just the LC for a few cycles since he was still blue. Nerves got the better of me :p

Hope you get a call back from the hospital soon for Butters' meds

Nerves are not a bad thing!:p:D Still learning. Like I said, better to err on the side of caution. The first time I was on my own and saw a lower number, I put out an entire can of HC food AND drizzled honey over it for Butters. It shot her numbers to the moon.

Shot 2.75u tonight - back to cycle 1 of our first reduction.

Today
AMPS @ 101 * fed LC breakfast, * shot reduced dose at 2.0u (this board was down, conservative w lowest AMPS he has had to date)
+1 @ 119 * no food
+2 @ 104 * 1 tbs LC food, and 1 tsp MC gravy
+3 @ 95 * 1 tbs LC food, and 1 tsp MC gravy
+4 @ 115 * 1/2 tbs LC food
+5 @ 139 * 1 tbs LC food
+8 @ 189 * no food
PMPS @ 304 * fed dinner LC * shot at 2.75u

What will tonight bring, my Cole? :cat:

I'm glad you went back to 2.75 units. In case of emergencies, you might want to print off the Sticky Notes on Handling Lower Preshots as well as the one on Handling Lower Numbers. I once had a power outage and was glad I had the paper copies around!

Tonight's pink could also be the results of this mornings lower dose. I'm pretty sure he'll get back to business soon. :)

With my kitty, she would sometimes tell me she was about to dive by being very hungry. Good to see you are getting another test in tonight.
