I am trying to make sense of Ducote's numbers but it seems to only be getting more and more confusing.
Currently he is on 2.75 but I stayed up last night to do a +5 and he was 84 so his current dose for today with his reduction would be 2.5 units.
Although he is showing much better numbers than he was on the Vetsulin, I still feel like I can't figure out the right dose due to constantly having to stall and eventually giving a reduced dose. His inconsistency in doses in driving me mad
This morning he had to stall again and when he got to 150 I gave him a reduced dose of 2 instead of the 2.5. My question is: Should I just go with the 2 for a few cycles and see if it is a better dose since the 2.75 was causing stalls at almost every precheck?

. I do know it can get very confusing and frustrating (I remember those days) I remember wishing I had phone numbers of the people helping me through this. Of course I would never ask. lol
My lower doses really started coming into play after the episode on 6/23. I gave his full 3 units when he read 165 (after a stall) and it brought him down to 51 and I had to intervene. My lower doses are normally for the low night PMPS because I know that I would not be awake to catch the low and it scares me. I was giving 1.5 when his numbers were around 175 and 1 unit when they were around 150. This morning I went ahead with the 2 units for 150 because I was thinking about starting the 2 for a few cycles to see if he levels out (meaning that the 2 I gave this morning was meant to be a full dose from here on). I want a consistent dose so badly so I was going to try the 2 for a while just to see and go up from there.
