Hi,
This is just a short story to encourage people with diabetic cats, especially newly diagnosed.
Our cat was diagnosed at Christmas and we went through two months of worry, hassle and expense - especially for him being subjected to constant blood curves and tests.
After two months, we went with a different approach of diet - mainly raw meat and fish - and homeopathic remedies provided by the Irish vet on the net, Tom Farrington.
Within ten days, our cat went into remission. He’s looking great now, nearly four months on and insulin-free.
I’d be happy to provide advice to any other cat owners/minders who want to message me. It worries me greatly that some people give up on this illness and have their cats put down, although I understand how daunting it feels at first.
Don’t give up - I’m convinced this illness is absolutely diet-related and curable!
Simon.
