4/16: Nova--(AMPS)=73; +7=97; pmps 166; +2=421-hold or raise tomorrow?

If you're on TR you can hold for another few cycles to see if that green is a one-off or perhaps this is an effective dose. I believe the number of cycles is quoted in the TR dosing method...sorry I'm rushing this morning or I'd look up the stickie and post it here for you...it's at the top of this forum.

Increasing the dose:
Hold the dose for 3 - 5 days (6 - 10 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are less
than 200 before increasing the dose by 0.25 unit.

if your cat is new to numbers under 200, it is recommended to
hold the dose for at least 8-10 cycles before increasing.
when your cat starts to see nadirs under 100, hold the dose for
at least 10 cycles before increasing.

Increase by 0.25 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are
greater than 200, but less than 300.

Increase by 0.5 unit after 3 days (6 consecutive cycles) if nadirs are
greater than 300.

Thank you. I am just starting the TR protocol--Nova needs a bit more aggressive approach, I think.

I think you can just crush the zobaline and add it to the main meal.

Yes, you could TR if you wish. Which could mean increasing tomorrow if you don't see any lower blues tonight. We can hold cycles with blues a little longer, but I didn't if just high blues.

10.5=64----will test in 20--she is feisty this morning! (growly girl)

(I see a bounce coming...) Probably not the best time to change to TR--or is it????--if after another test & she's still in the green, I will reduce to 2.75---maybe, crap, I. Don't. Know!!!

Oh why does this happen in the morning when mods are not here?!?:banghead:

TR says hold, SLGS would reduce.

She usually is influenced by food, so I can guess she'll be in the 100s after eating & before the dose kicks in.

also, she will probably bounce before nadir...as is her normal reaction to lower numbers
{{deep Breath}}

reductions have not held.....

I'm here all day, have enough strips (thank goodness), food, karo, etc.

Wish us luck...I'm feeding and holding the dose. :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

If you are switching to TR, you don't want to reduce the dose. Those are nice, safe numbers last night. They are healing numbers and he is just now getting into them on this dose. If you are around to monitor today, you would shoot the 3.0 units and get a +1 and a +2.

Wheeeeeew! Thank you, I needed that. That's what I thought, but you know how it goes--that doubt creeps in. Yes, I will get a +1 & 2 and monitor closely.

Right now I am a shaky mess...and I haven't even finished my 1st cuppa joe.

You're doing fine. I understand about the doubt. You'll get the hang of TR in no time. Nova may bounce today or he may surf. Either way it will give you some good data.

Yup, for sure. Thank you, again. I needed your kind words. :bighug:

There's a mantra around here - shoot low to stay low.

Of course, it's ideal if you're going to be around to monitor - but remember that's our collective goal. We WANT to all be able to shoot our kitties when they're in the greens! Not always do I have the privilege of doing that but it's breath taking the first time or so...but you'll get there. Just be watchful and now that you're on TR you can speed things up :) Great job this morning!

Whooooowh! {big exhale} Yeah, I've heard that many times..... it was scary for sure, but I figured, it's now or never (with a few expletives thrown in the mix).

We are now at +7 (I had to get a nap in) and she is at 97 :D. Not looking forward to seeing the inevitable bounce, but.....

What a way to go into TR. I know how scary it feels to shoot your first green. I am still a little afraid sometimes. You are doing great!

I did good, but poor Novie's body couldn't take the low numbers.....Super bounce!

So, for tomorrow--which would be Day 5 on TR, I would hold the dose and decide to increase after that?
