Hello,
Djoko has not been eating a lot in the past few days. He seems hungry but cannot touch his food. Yesterday afternoon, he has diarhee. He has been having multiple diarrheas for 24 hours in large quantity.
He has been eaten a bit and drinking water but it seems that as soon as he puts something in his body, he cannot keep it. Otherwise, he is quiet but acts fine e.g. able to jump on the bed for instance.
I gave him Gapapentin (2 X0.5) last night and today around 2PM (12 hours apart).
If possible, due to the Covid19 and the cost, I would like to avoid going to the vet. I understand that if he keeps going, he may become dehysdrated. He received insulin this morning because he was at 29, but I don't think I will be able to give him his shot today due to his poor appetite.
It looks like a flare-up of pancreatits. I tested for ketones and it came back negative.
Should I stop giving him food for a bit?
Any advice?
Thanks,
Marjorie
