Hi Suzanne!

Are you going to be able to be home to test today? If so I would grab a +0.5 and see if LT is on his way up from 95, if he is I would shoot and monitor closely for the first few hours. If not I think I would consider skipping. :)

I'm really trying to get him into the green on this dose and there's no way to give 1/2 of what we are giving. I haven't fed him yet and I"m getting ready to recheck in a couple minutes

I'm blessed to be retired, so I can test and send husband to pick up grocery order 35 miles away.
That is a blessing.... everyone keeps telling me not to wish my life away but... here i am at 33 dreaming of retirement.:rolleyes::p

If you can monitor you’re in a good situation. Still wait to see what the next test is and then make a decision from there :)

I'll be doing the first check at +1 today. However, it must be low BG day around the Burton household today. The diabetic drooler is also low, so he's had his food and a biscuit and re-checking him in about 15 minutes. It's a diabetic merry-go-round this a.m.

Interesting that everyone is low in the house today! Kinda like grandfather clocks that will all swing in the same rhythm after a while...

It'll be interesting to see how low that drop takes him today. LT is definitely doing great and is in a hurry to get 'there'... :)

Have a great day Suzanne!

It depends on what your plans are for retirement and what life throws at you. Never thought I would be remodeling house on fixed budget. It was suppose to be done before retirement. Then all the issues of getting older start and caring for ageing parents. Careful what you wish for.

Looking at your spreadsheet. Are you giving 0.1 units or a drop.
A drop is when you hold down the plunger as you insert the needle into the vial. Then you release the plunger and pull out the needle. This should give you a drop of insulin.
I hope the drooler came up easily and surfs.

Great morning for you LT! Hope you head back for a dip in the lagoon but keep an eye on your drooler and both of you stay safe!
Have a great day Suzanne! :bighug:

I'll change it to 0.1U now that I understand the difference:);).

Like us, the vet didn't hear any bowel sounds on Angie, the mule. The vet pumped water into her and gave her a shot of banamine. So the mule is more comfortable now and coming home. DH will have to get up in the night to check her.

Thank you for your prayers. My husband is driving her to the vet which is about 15 miles away. Angie, the mule, is like my DH's trail-riding mule; she's like an extension of him when on and off the trail.
Extra prayers for dear Angie :bighug:❤️ For vet to have Swift successful treatment for her ❤️.
