Hi all,
It’s been a while and Scooter has been doing great until last night. He threw up right before his +4 snack (2 hrs after his last snack), threw up just a bit of liquid during the night and again this morning. The only thing he’s eaten since he threw up last night is about a tbs of gravy food at +6 when I came home to take him to the vet. The vet did a full blood panel and said everything is good, that Scooter is very healthy. He did send off a sample to test his thyroid, but we won’t get that back until probably Monday. My question is about the medicine he sent with us. It’s transdermal mirtzapine. The vet said it’s an appetite stimulant. If I remember from reading others’ condos, it’s not good to give an appetite stimulant to a nauseous kitty. Am I remembering right? Scooter is doing all the nauseous things. Drinking lots of water, looks at food, licks his lips and walks off etc. I’m going to keep trying to find something my little man will eat. Will appreciate any advice.
