:) tells me you are a younger person: they used to make things that worked for ages.

My parents owned and used US made toaster from late 1960s thru late 1990s and the vacuum cleaner that lasted 20+ years, and such longevity was to be legibly expected. (but TBH it's not PC as the hardware at fault here; Bill Gates decided that Vista PC no longer need to be supported by MS and all kind of application have fallen off and that what makes the typing to freeze and reinsert itself not were I was typing)
Younger. But my toaster is about as old me. :p
(Things *were* made better but technology has become throw away it seems like. Your computer is newer than any I’ve had though. What year was Vista?)

You all are making me jealous; all I wanted was a computer that would still play my old Windows 7 games, they just don't sell them anymore!

@Panic

I had eureka! moment: do you have syringes for assisted feeding?
If not ask if the vet can give you some - I do not recall anyone was ever been charged for it.

Oh you're right yes! I don't have those. How does syringe feeding work anyway?

I still have an old desktop I built stored away that should play my old win XP or earlier games. You know a lot of those older games have been released for newer platforms now.
I have my grandmother’s old Atari console, too.

Sorry I know this is way off topic now. :joyful:

?

Craigslist ... you can actually get Windows 7 computers that way .. usually marketed as Kid's Computers

might be time to start another thread ??? :p

Awesome awesome news! Panic has been approved for Prozinc AND she is up to 5.6 lbs! Her fructosamine test read as "normal" but we didn't really focus on that, we were just talking about variables on what's going on on her spreadsheet. Vet was also pleased to see the sheet and asked me to send her updates periodically!

They are letting me do the curve once the Prozinc arrives, she said she would put the starting unit number on the prescription but I know since she's on 4u right now she may have her starting dose a little high...I know no one chatting here right now uses Prozinc but I'm wondering what she should ideally start on to not miss that magic number.

What an awesome awesome news on the weight !

Here is where you need to start chatting to ppl on ProZ sub forum - tons of knowledge over there. I never used ProZ. That's been said. Personally I would be hesitant to reduce the 4U dose BC of black numbers.
Any luck on Ketones test?
Did yo talk to the vet about ketones?

So glad for the good news! Switching from NPH to Lantus (obviously do not copy, ECID, different insulins, etc.) Alice went from 3.5/3x to 4/2x, or, 10.5u daily NPH to 8u daily for Lantus. On Lantus forum somewhere there is a sticky about dosing that discusses switching. Hopefully Prozinc forum has help for you too.

Glad to hear about the weight gain!
My vet suggested at one point I get a baby scale, and it has helped me track Alice’s weight when I am not visiting the vet. If you can find one maybe that would be helpful for you, too. :) Also had help adding a weight tab to SS.
