Sorry for the late reply, was out of town today and just got back.
I rather suspect the 22 was inaccurate and you just didn’t get enough blood on the strip. It’s always best to retest right away, without unnecessarily giving high carb food. When she is in lower numbers, you also don’t want to feed early. Otherwise you don’t know if the numbers are rising due to food, or the natural rise at the end of the cycle. For the same reason, stay away from those high carb treats end of cycle, unless she is low (below 50).
Skipping Baby’s shot when she is in safe blues is not doing her any favours. She will be sky high tomorrow. I notice a couple other times when you have skipped with her in blues after a good cycle. Also times when you have **** four hours late (March 3) and look like the next shot may not have been 12 hours after that. On March 1st, it looks like you gave an extra 4 units later in the cycle. That is not safe practise. Consistent dosing works best, unless she earns a dose reduction.
Another good practise to get into is getting a before bed test every night. Since you cannot test during every day cycle, the night cycles will give you the data that tell you how she is doing on this dose. She got down to the 30’s on 18 units a couple weeks ago, which is way too low and earned a reduction by1 unit. Since you are now at 18.5 units, I would be cautious and use every opportunity to gather data.
