AMPS 323. Gave 1/4 tab of Onadestron and 1/2 tab of Cerenia before breakfast. Syringe fed 1/2can Wellness Core T&D with 1/4tsp Metamucil, 1/2 packet Forti Floria, and 1 capsule Concentrated Rehmannia. Increased dose to 5u Lantus.

Hi Justin,
Hope you stop finding puddles of vomit.
I've got some more reading for you regarding probiotics, Fortiflora, is not a favorite
here's a link to IBD website discussing why and what might be better alternatives.
I've use Saccharomyces boulardii, when I've had to use Antibiotics to help restore their gut flora.

+2 is 340.

I checked it out, along with some of the other pages. That's an overwhelming amount of info, especially when I can't trust my vets.

Did he eat OK? Hope the Appy is better today with the meds on board.
I didn't really try to feed him normally. I didn't want to screw up the schedule so I just went right to the syringe. I tried squirting a little out first to see if he'd eat it up but he didn't show much interest. A few licks but that was it.

Here is a probiotic suggested to me by Marje and Gracie, and a few people use it here. It's tasteless and odorless. Renew Life Ultimate Flora. There are many different ones. I use the 30 billion. Some say 50 billion and up is good. Ollie does well on 30. I started it when she was on AB and now I keep her in it. The other cats will eat from her bowl at times so I guess they don't detect it either. I buy it when the store has BOGO sale.

Hope his appt picks up as the day goes on.

Cool, just ordered a bottle off Amazon that'll be here tomorrow. I'll keep an eye out for them at the store next time I'm there and check for sales.

After I did the +3 he walked over to his bowl looking for food so I set out 1/8can Wellness Core. He sniffed it at first and wasn't going to eat it so I sprinkled some tuna flakes on it and he chowed down.

+3 is 315 btw, so looks like we might get a bit of a curve. I'll check again at +6 I'm assuming we'll be holding the dose at 5u for a couple of days so the depot stabilizes there and we see how he reacts.

Yes hold on to the dose for now, ideally let the depot settle. But you need to keep abreast of his other symptoms and take them into account too.

+6 is 261. I know it's too soon to tell but if 7u was in fact a good dose and it was just the sub-q dropping him low, I'm gonna be pretty annoyed.

Lunch went okay. He ate 1/16 of a can with tuna flakes on his own with bit of coaxing and then I syringe fed the rest of the 3/8, though thankfully he was a good boy and just licked it off the plate instead of making me squirt it in his mouth. Weight is down a bit today. I'm going to make it priority #1 to make sure he's getting his full calorie load of 370 ( [13.6 X 13lbs] + 70) x 1.5, one way or another. I'll do the LC wet again for dinner but I think I'm going to try a half-and-half blend of the Wellness Core and FF Gravy for his evening +6 meal.

I'll also add that he hasn't had any diarrhea. Even when he had the p'titis attack in November it was always just vomit. It comes out the back end pretty normally.
