Does anyone know if there is significant difference in the FF Classic Pate's for adult cats versus their Kitten types? Is it just the vitamins/amounts, maybe? They look pretty much the same by the label information.
We have Lamborghini who is low-level diabetic, being controlled just by switching him to the FF. He is 12. We have Ferrari, also 12, who has decided she can eat the FF after all (only she wants Lambors' bowl and he wants hers, and he needs to eat more than her because he's bigger, but she walks away and he eats it all....argh!)
Then we now have Maggie who is 8 months and very skinny and undersized for her age (if the rescue got it right), who's poop gets really really stinky (like deadly) if she gets chicken flavor. And as of yesterday, we have Mittens who is about 6 months old. Kittens are getting FF Kitten classic pates, plus unlimited dry food, Tiki Cat Fish Luau so that IF Lamborghini gets to it, it isn't the worst thing in the world for him. (Mittens is being converted over from something cheap and colorful, maybe Meow Mix? then sent a little tub of it along with her, we only got her yesterday, unintended but now necessary.)
It would make life so much easier if we could just feed everyone the same food, and not have cans for the big cats and cans for the kittens, and labelled baggies with partial cans piled in the fridge because they get 1/2-3/4 can per meal, four meals per day, depending on size, weight, and age of cat.
Tried chatting with Purina customer service, after 42 minutes mostly waiting I was told she would have to have someone email me, and, of course, they never did. Just sent them an email request for the info. But wondering if perhaps someone here might know the difference between these foods, if any?
Hubby, who is very patient with all our pet acquisitions, is losing his mind over all this cat food flavor nonsense.
