Hi Could someone give me the name, location, email and Phone number of the New York hospital that does Pituitary Tumor Removal Surgery with Donor Money?? I was also wondering if they do SRT? Also I am looking for a hospital close to Massachusetts that does SRT? Angell Memorial in Boston does it but the cost is $10,000! THanks:bighug::bighug:

AMC in New York does the surgery, Dr. John McCue in neurology is the surgeon.

Amanda talks about Shmee's surgery at AMC here. In that post is an attached PDF that contains the email address. Sue talksa about Sophie's New York trip here.

This post has a list of other places that do SRT, though it's out of date now. There are some places in the NorthEast you could contact for up to date info and prices. If you find anything newer, let us know.

Thank you Wendy!:bighug: not close to the $10,000 only $170 raised so far. Looking and praying for a Rich CAT DADDY!!:p

I also talk about issues post surgery here, too - http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...ussion-of-medication-and-other-issues.207078/

Important that you understand all the ramifications of the procedure you are thinking. It is not a magic bullet and there is ever a straight, linear progression afterward.
Thank you:bighug: I am actually looking for a cheaper Place that does SRT I really do not want to put her thru this surgery. Angell Memorial in Boston is $10,000!! I am hoping someplace close to Massachusetts does it cheaper Thanks.

You might consider flying to WSU and getting the SRT done there. We know it is much cheaper than $10k.

Hi Pamela

(Wow you are an early riser!) It looks like the WSU contact info is on their oncology page

If you call them, it would be interesting to hear their updated SRT rates.

Leo is having some "reduced eating" issues for the past 2 weeks. Lots of small meals but not eating much. It could be a phase or it could be reduced health from Acro and small cell lymphoma. We are trying to get him thru this spot. He has done well for the longevity of his health issues, but we always hope for more months and years. One thing is for certain - Leo absolutely loves his orange pillow - Little Dude. Thanks for asking.

Animal Medical Center - Manhattan, NY. This is the hospital where my Sophie had her pituitary surgery and her doctor - John McClue is quoted and shown in the article.

The cat spotlighted here is probably the first one they did the surgery on there.
