All cats have them and when they poo they usually express on their own but Bellas left side does not, the glands are used to mark their territoryThis might be a stupid question, but I'd never even heard of anal glands before I heard about Bella's issues. Do cats normally need them expressed? Or is Bella a special case? How do you know there's an issue with them?
I am very glad to hear the vet visit went well! Bella's looking fantastic so far, bad timing aside.![]()
Gonna do a +5 and see if I can go at 10estBella, the grown ups have plans today, let them go. Maybe they will bring you back a nice treat.
Gonna leave some MC down and try and rush back home, eat and run

Yes $$$$$$Have you considered having the gland removed?
Numbers look great. Happy Birthday to DH. Hope y'all enjoyed your lunch.
Over carb him ! Ugh
Really? I wouldn't think it would be that big of a deal but I really don't know. I know they remove the scent glands from pet weasels and skunks.Yes $$$$$$

I’m not doing itremoval of both glands can result in fecal incontinence. It is also possible that cats will lose some control over their bowels following surgery. ... If part of the anal sac has remained following surgery, abscess or chronic draining may result.
It does sound like a BIG deal!!![]()
