Ravan is about 12 lbs. Vet said it's a good weight for him. I just don't want him to gain. Animals (like people ) have more health issues when they're overweight. I thought I was doing everything right feeding my Kitties a Raw diet but he got diabetes anyway.Vet said some kitties just inherit it.
When I go to the vet I see so many animals that are very overweight. It's become an epidemic! I read this recently & it opened my eyes to the problems with our animals being over weight

Obesity-related health problems include heart disease, ruptured ligaments, respiratory compromise, tiredness,
diabetes, greater susceptibility to certain types of liver disease, and osteoarthritis.
Some very large breeds of cats can weigh that much & be the correct weight. But most cats would be obese at that weight!
There are people that still feed dry food & the cat is overweight & Bg is very high & won't come down.I've seen several people here stop feeding dry food & their cat went into remission! I don't understand why anyone would continue feeding kibble if they know the cat might go into remission if they stop?
