10/27 Tiny Sole +9: 142, +10: 122, +10: 142, + 11:156, PMPS: 152, +2: 149, +4: 144

I will test her at 6:30 PM then her PMPS at 7:15/7:20. I'll update the SS and post numbers here too. Let's see how she goes.
XOXO

Yes, your goal is to get Tiny surfing in the greens for the entire cycle. When they get into those green normal numbers, they seem to flatten out. I was shooting anything 50 or above with my girl for awhile and she stayed flat as a pancake on Levemir which is a similar type of insulin to Lantus. You're not there yet but eventually you may need to shoot lower numbers to get over the finish line. Remember, the dose will also be decreasing as you go. :)

Joanne, I switched to a human meter. I was using the AT2 for the first couple of years because my girl had IAA on top of the diabetes. Best look at her 2018 sheet and look at the AT numbers over in the comments from July to September. I only used my AT for her pre-shots. Double testing OCD Momma! I also wanted to flaunt it at the vet's office. HEHEHEHEEE!:p

Well, with SLGS, when you have a cat like Tiny who is bent on getting reductions every day, you could decide not to take a reduction until she hits a little lower number. You're not there yet but Tiny is definitely speeding things along. I was following TR when I was shooting those low numbers. To be honest, I have not seen any cats on SLGS speeding down the dosing ladder at this pace.

I agree. And just to point out that you did shoot an 83 on 10/23 AM cycle with 3 units although that was below the reduction number of 90 for SLGS. If she is 90 or above, I would shoot as to not mess up this momentum. I know you are sleep deprived, I went though this with Bubba racing down the dosing ladder. I get it, it's the weekend, can you catch up tomorrow if you had an active cycle?

+2: 149 after PMPS.

I'd like to go to sleep, but I feel compelled to test her at 11:30 PM, 1:30 AM, 3:30 AM and the + 10.

Am I nuts?

Those two numbers are about the same, so I would say your schedule is good. If at the 11:30PM or the +4 she is the same or bumping up, get some sleep. If she is moving downward then you are going to want to steer her some. When is her regular snack time in this cycle?

I think you be better off dealing with this as it comes rather than pre-planning all those tests. She has a habit of going down later in the cycle so get your 11:30 and see where she's at and decide what next then. I agree maybe a +4 would be good and if she's just surfing along steady you can always give her a LC snack and go back to bed unless she is doing something crazy. She looks to be surfing along nicely right now.

+4: 144 at 11:30 PM

I have an alarm set for +7, my usual middle of the night rise, then will set another for +10 or +11 when she's known to fall.

I hope that a restful sleep comes for all. May all kitties and creatures be safe.
