9/22 jack amps 284, +3 352, +6 363, +9 397, pmps 445

Good evening! Is this rise due to my freak out yesterday AM? I gave 0.75u instead of 1u because jack amps was 104 and I had to leave for work. My husband was home but honestly (dont tell him this) I dont trust him.. he works very long hours and he would most likely fell asleep. Although he did get a +5 for me that day. Idk would that small change make a huge difference? Is this one of those "bounces" again from having that low 104?

Lantus likes consistency. Because of the depot, a change in dose can affect the cycles that follow that change.
Reducing to .75u prompted the depot to shrink accordingly. When you then increased back to 1u, the depot required some of the injected insulin to match the depot back up to the dose. So the whole 1u did not go directly into circulation where it could work to metabolize food into usable energy to be delivered to all the cells in Jacks body. And yes, there likely was a bounce from that 104 in the mix as well.

Hi Angela, Glad to see that Jack is feeling perky and better!:joyful: Just a suggestion - but I'd stick with the same dose unless you're getting a number below 50 since you're on the Tight Regulation protocol. Also you may want to post the time of day that you shoot - as Sandy and Black Kitty said - Lantus works best when you're consistent. Consistent dose and consistent times of day; exactly 12 hours apart. Lantus being a depot drug - you shoot nadirs (the lowest numbers you've seen) and not the number of your Pre Shot (PS)...unless it's below 50 ...Congratulations on your home testing!!:D Excellent job there! And posting it all to your SS helps everyone see how Jack's doing - which it already looks like he's improving..so keep up the good work to help your furbaby.

And welcome to the best Forum on the net! Absolutely wonderful, selfless peeps here helping and supporting us through this FD ... they are literally life savers! So much to learn - read the condos and stickies. Sending vines to Jack and hugs to you!:bighug::bighug:
