You did great!

It's always a panicky feeling when you see that low number and you HAVE TO LEAVE!

We all agree that our cats KNOW when the pressure is on and you have to go - and they do this stuff THEN!

Luci is keen on when I have an appointment and DH won't be here...don't ever underestimate their intelligence or the fact that they can read our minds - and our calendars.
I'm scheduled for an extensive dental appointment (crown prep) on July 10 - and wouldn't you know DH has a luncheon that day - we're discussing the conflict but only in the car!

Never in front of Luci - I'm sure she'll decide - on that day - to hit the breaks and go into the deep greens...and then visit those darn sharks...for some reason it's just always the very worst times...and she decides to saunter down to the lagoon and jumps right in - and as much as I want her to be there - for her healing time - every time just can't be a good time.

So she cannot go without adult supervision! And out come the HC FF - just have to sacrifice that day and head her little butt back up the beach and sometimes even into the trees (yellow or pink) makes me sad and aggravated to have to do that

...it's a setback...but as many here will tell you - better a day too high than an hour too low.

After all we've done to help our babies we don't want them slipping into hypo with no one at home...so take the hit...the high numbers...and hope for better days ahead...when you can test...Bella will come back around for you...just wait and see

PS - Buy some HC and MC FF and cut it into quarters and freeze it in an ice cube tray - put into a ziplock with label of what's what and get it out when you have to leave - it'll give him something to lick on over the next hour or so...I've heard of people freezing all sorts of things for their kitties; broth, HC/MC/LC - and I also bought one of those timed feeder devices - so that I can put a couple of frozen cubes in there for the day (that's coming up) when we're both out of the house - Luci can hear the thing turn - and she's right there to see what's in the bowl for her. Well worth the money - especially if it keeps your baby safe while you're away and cannot test.

Hoping for good news when you get home today
