Cat wars at 5 AM . I can do without those. I guess it was because I would not open a 5th can of food after they refused the first 4 cans. Olive hasn't been eating her +6 meal overnight so I guess I can cut that one out. Laundry day at dad's so will be gone until +8.

My local pharmacy doesn't have that. Have not made the trip to the chain rx yet. So far mineral ice helps in between ice bags. Socks cover the colors.
Hope it begins to go down soon. The brand I cited a few days ago (ArniFlora) is the one I buy (in the health food store). But there are many others. Look on the pharmacy shelves where the liniments and pain creams are. Arnica is great because it has no awful smell and it really works. But it works best if you can use it soon after the injury. When I slammed my hand in a heavy window frame my hand swelled up twice its size and was horribly bruised. I put Arnica gel on it and the next day it was normal size and the bruising was much diminished. I learned about it from a friend who knows a lot about holistic remedies.
Don't keep an ice bag on for more than 20 minutes at a time. After a few days, use heat (this is what all of the first aid books recommend). Ice is to get down the swelling. Heat is to encourage the blood to be carried to the injury.

Don't have a health food store here. A lot of greasy eateries though. A vitamin shop is opening soon. If I ordered by the time it got here I wouldn't need it. I use ice bag 3 times a day. Apply Mineral ice gel 1 hour after ice bag. It only hurts if ankle bone is touched or pressure if I cross at the ankles. I can walk on it normally today.
