I'm happy to report my youngest (13 yr old) son did Diamond's pmps. I also taught him how to draw the insulin and showed how where and how to shoot. This is fabulous for me! Be for his Dx and neuropathy set in, I was the only one he would let near him. He hid all day and hissed and ran away if other family members (even me sometimes) would get near him. His neuropathy has made him very immobile. I have a bed set up for him under the kitchen table and even a litter box in the kitchen. If he's not under the table he is on the stairs. Since he can't run away now he has been getting used to everyday life going on around him. He still doesn't like my 2 older kids but is ok (most of the time) with Riley, the youngest. Riley has been showing interest in caring for Diamond so, I went with it. Clearly we have to practice more but, I'm so glad to a plan B if I can't be home to test and shoot.
