It's the old boy's birthday today!
This also marks his "one month without insulin". He's been doing globally well, except for these spasm issues. I found his BG slightly higher recently, but I changed meters, and then started using the FS strips in the AT, so looking at trends over a month is a little tricky. But whatever the reading, it's still "normal" (or pre-diabetic, if one insists).
As he seemed a little in pain these last days I got him a Convenia injection to see if it helped. Well, let me tell you that yesterday evening I had a purr machine in bed that just wouldn't stop. He's always been a purry cat, and I now it's the first thing that decreases when something is up. It's too early to tell but it seems the Convenia is doing something. His BG was also marginally lower this morning. We'll see over the next days.
On my side, still having adventures with giardia lamblia, and my civvie Erica isn't well (I suspect panc, but it might be lymphoma IBD; check the links for thoughts and questions on her BG over the last week).
You probably noticed I managed to drag a few francophones onto the board. Everybody is going through a rough patch right now so we've been a bit absent these last days, but hopefully things will pick up this weekend. I keep holding out for all the kitties on the board, checking condos and sending vines.

I hope you can get you and Erica feeling better.
