I contacted Wellness to be sure of the amount of phosphorus in the food I purchased. He seemed to have a diabetes flare up after feeding the beef and salmon so I went to their website and contacted them through their form. I don't understand what they are talking about. I obviously have more to learn. This was the response on the foods I asked about:

Beef & Chicken Pate
Carbohydrates: As Fed: 0.70%, Dry Matter: 3.00%
Magnesium: 18 mg/100 kcal

Turkey Pate
Carbohydrates: As Fed: 1.14%, Dry Matter: 4.80%
Magnesium: 17 mg/100 kcal

Chicken Pate
Carbohydrates: As Fed: 1.06%, Dry Matter: 4.34%
Magnesium: 17 mg/100 kcal

Turkey & Salmon Pate
Carbohydrates: As Fed: 1.33%, Dry Matter: 5.69%
Magnesium: 19 mg/100 kcal

Beef & Salmon Pate
Carbohydrates: As Fed: 1.21%, Dry Matter: 4.60%
Magnesium: 23 mg/100 kcal

I went to catinfo.org and looked at the different brands went to the store looking for Wellness complete but only found dry kibble with that name so I picked the plain Wellness Chicken Formula etc. I think there's a name change in the works but it's confusing.

Doesn’t look like they gave you phosphorus numbers. Wellness has had a recent change in their formula and while the carb values are still low, the phosphorus levels have gone way up. THIS thread has the info

Thanks Sharon....was just looking for this very info !!!

I got a new reply to my query after I gave them unfavorable feedback. Here is the new response with phosphorous levels but I have the old labeled cans so I am hoping they are ok, I am giving the salmon formulas to my other cat. It's just sickening that I have to find yet another food.

Reger's symptoms that had left withFancy feast came back when I switched to Wellness and those cans had the old labels. Just sticking with Fancy Feast Roasted chicken feast and Flaked trout feast for now.

Does your cat have kidney disease? With the old formula the chicken was okay. None of the new numbers are good. It’s so hard to find foods good for both CKD and diabetes. Good luck.

He has a tendency to get cystitis or crystals and that's why he was on Science Diet CD for so long. It's crazy hard to find a good food and I can't stand all these little bitty cans that fancy feast comes in. I found friskies pate mixed grill at winco for a dollar a can and they are the big cans, hopefully it will be ok for him.

Wellness Turkey was my go-to canned food (as a supplement to Rad Cat) until they changed the formula. A few of us have switched to Organix, Daves & Newmans. Soulistic is a good option too.

Where do you buy those brands? I haven't seen them in the pet store I shop at. Do most of you order food online? I haven't tried that yet because packages tend to walk off around here.

Yes online at chewy.com if I buy cases. You can find single cans of Soulistic at Petco & Organix at Whole Foods. I found Dave's at a local small pet store. Just make sure you look at the chart, some flavors of these brands are high carb.

...
@Julia & Bandit posted a nice table for the new Wellness foods in this forum on June 28,2017. I will try the Wellness Core Beef, Venison and Lamb. It is 5% carbs and 171 mg phosphorus per 100 calories. Of course with these proteins I worry about prion disease.

I decided to contact Wellness directly. In contrast to---but very close to---the table posted in June, they told me it was 3% calories from carbs and 134 mg phosphorus per 100 kcal. (They emailed ".866 mg carbs per 100 kcal", and I used 3.5kcal per gram of carbs.). Even better.
Yum liked it at first but now maybe not. She has been having major problems with diarrhea that may or may not be due to my replacing Fancy Feast turkey and giblets with Radcat raw lamb and Wellness beef/venison/lamb paté. Tonight I will try Radcat raw chicken which is about 159 mg phosphorus per 100 kcal.
