Hello L&L Land,
We've missed all of our friends here and will try to check on all of you more frequently. But I must say Noah is enjoying life at the Falls. Can't believe he has been off insulin for two months now. It allowed me to sleep in during my vacation and not going to lie, IT WAS VERY NICE! His numbers are pretty flat and steady, and I think I'm ok with testing only once a week (NOAH HAS APPROVED THIS PLAN
). It was difficult to put the pokey down, but I'm doing pretty good now. However, the first couple of days were rough for this addict
!
And also thank you to members who encourage me to continue with Noah on insulin as long as we could. I must say I was anxious to get to the trial, but so glad we waited and from the looks of it, Noah seems to have a pretty strong remission so far.
Seeing a lot of new names, but will try to check in and offer encouragements (since I'm not any help with dosing). I remember how difficult the first month is, so newbies, IT DOES GET BETTER.
I'm having trouble getting rid of my insulin, and would hate for it to go to waste, so if anyone is near OTTAWA, ONTARIO (CANADA), please send me a message and I would be happy to give my insulin away.
Lastly, does anyone have any food recommendations for FREEZE-DRIED RAW? Noah has only wanted the Nature's Variety nuggets in the past couple of days (doesn't want his Primal anymore
) and I was wondering if people knew of other brands I could try. I don't have the value for the Nature's Variety freeze-dried raw, but Noah's numbers have been consistent on that food. If anyone has the values, that would be appreciated! I know I'm lucky he loves this food and doesn't mind eating it for every meal every single day, but I'm worried he'll stop eating it (like the Primal) and then I'm going to be stuck. He stills doesn't want wet food, and the dry food in Canada is WAY TOO HIGH!
Thank you to all of you and sending hugs to our friends here in L&L Land.
