Toro went after a 0.25u increase (from 1u to 1.25u)from 440 to 77 in 24 hours....I've fed him some gravy food to high the +10 number and gave him 0.75u shot for the night(reduced from 1.25u)......he was on 1u for 3 weeks, pretty high numbers, big bounces...see some numbers from the last week on chart......not too much data available but what would you do starting in the morning? Continue 1.25u or reduce to 1u?

Are you following Tight Regulation or Start Low Go Slow for dosing? The answer differs depending on which you are using.

I strongly suggest getting some spot checks in the evening. A before bed test is a good one. Many cats go lower at night and our dosing methods are based on finding those lows. Chances are you are missing those night time lows and he's bouncing. What could also be at play is that you are hopping around doses. Both TR and SLGS suggest holding doses for a period of time to stabilize the depot. Frequent dose changes can also produce wonky numbers.

Read up on the 2 methods used here, SLGS. and Tight Regulation Protocol.
As Wendy mentioned, in either case dose changes, both up and down, are based on how low a particular dose brings your kitty's BG during the course of a 12 hour cycle. Testing is key.

Visit a few 'condos' (other kitties daily threads) and have a look at different spreadsheets for examples of how other folks manage BG.

I'll try to be more explicit: Toro has been on 1u for 3 weeks (with readings in the attached spreadsheet for the last week of 3 only) and the readings were over 300 in their majority. I made a mistake going down to 0.75u for 48 hours - but went back to 1u for 3 days and the numbers were high, over 300. Nadirs in their vast majority over 200 (seems to have a late nadir, close to +12) so I followed the protocols, I increased with 0.25u and in 24 hours went down from 440 to 77. I've read all the protocols, I'm pretty good with numbers so I can say I understand them. But what happens is out of charts. Being new on all these I wonder if I shall switch back to 1u and wait more (even if 1u gives high numbers) or give him again 1.25u and stick with the increase (even if he was close to hypo last night). I'm just scared of the 440 to 77 drop in 24 hours, not sure what that means.....I guess I'll go back to 1u, stay there for a week or so, be patient and see what's going on, seems to be more safe.

Many kitties run lower on the overnight cycle. So, Toro could have visited lower numbers than he is used to overnight on 8/9, triggering a bounce on 8/10.
Your increase to 1.25u may have coincided with the bounce breaking and the momentum brought the numbers down fast. Unfortunately fast drops can trigger more bouncing.

You need to know what goes on between PMPS and AMPS.
I see about two weeks worth of data on the spreadsheet. The only PM mid cycle tests were last night. So right there you're missing half the picture.

Thank you, we'll try to do that. It makes sense what you're saying. We'll stay on 1u, be patient and check more numbers. After a week we'll decide what to do next.
