We'll say 95 - 105, don't shoot?Do you mean a flat reading of 100? Gah, that's SO low for me!
ME NEITHER!Hahaha Yong, I have no clue what your feeder is doing![]()

Thank you Djamila! I was reading through posts and saw you had suggested that last weekend I believe. I'm with you. I think I may be brave tomorrow or Sunday and just give the .2 (hopefully on a higher PS) and test from there. He's been fairly consistent even with the NS and .1 but I am curious as to what would happen with .2 again. Fingers crossed everyone! And thank you for always erring on the side of caution regardless. It's a good reminderCautious advice: base your dosing on your mid-cycle numbers and keep doing what you've been doing
Aggressive advice: at some point with Sam, I noticed that raising the dose a little didn't actually make his nadir any lower, but it did start to bring his pre-shots down. It was like he had a natural floor and would just stop somewhere in the 60's (most of the time). So IF you are home, and IF you can monitor, you could try giving a 0.2u and see what happens. The danger here is that he could actually go lime green. So there is some risk involved in this little experiment to see if it works with Pita, or if he just goes diving. Feel free to ignore this suggestion. And please definitely ignore this is you aren't home or can't monitor. But you already know that part. You're good at keeping him safe.I just felt obliged to write it again for anyone in the future reading this thread.
Lol I was too, but I hope what you predicted, will happen! He didn't seem to dip any lower than he has before and hopefully we'll get a nice/NS PMPS!Yeah! It went okay! (I wasabout that!)
Do you think I should stick with the .2? Or go with .1 under a certain PS?If he gives you a lower pre-shot tomorrow, you might consider shooting on it (if you'll be home) and see what happens. A non-diabetic cat is usually between 50-80 most of the time, with only occasional numbers up to 120. So Pita is doing great mid-cycle, but he's still popping up to numbers that are too high at the end of each cycle. Giving him a little insulin support might help get him over this stuck place and into those lower numbers. (see previous post for all of the caveats and warnings that go along with this, of course)
Thank you for the input!I'm super opposed to sliding scale dosing on the way up the dosing scale since i think it often leads to under dosing, but on the way down the dosing scale, I think it's helpful. So I guess I would say maybe 135+ give 0.2, 120-135 give 0.1, and NS under 120. But that's completely a guess since we don't have recent data to show the impact of that. And also, use your mama sense. If that doesn't feel right, trust your instincts.
Hahaha it always helpsThat's a nice long run in the greens.
You know, just in case it was helpful to have someone post something completely obvious.![]()
