What kind of treats were you giving previously? Unless he was getting tons of them, I think you are still good for an increase. Yesterday was also cycle 5 and 6 on the dose so the depot would have been full and showing you what the dose can do. Which is yellow. The goal is green. You need to keep pushing to get him into better numbers to overcome glucose toxicity and fight against whatever is causing the insulin resistance. I do see progress on his SS, but keep the foot on the gas.

The treats I was giving him were Purina Whisker Lickin's. He probably wasn't getting that many, but I felt like it was a lot. He got one treat at each test and also for shots. I plan on increasing to 6.5 units tonight if I am able to monitor or tomorrow morning.

+8 = 218

Thinking Gizmo might be in blue at PMPS. If he is, should I hold this dose longer? He is new to blue besides a few hours there back on 6-29. This is Cycle 7 of 6 units.

Also, I picked up some pure pumpkin (100% pumpkin) to see if it will help with his constipation. How much should I give him? I'm thinking I should start at 1/2 teaspoon, but wasn't sure. He is going almost every day, but it is very hard and sometimes very little balls.

Like Wendy said, the depot is in full effect and he is still yellow so it appears 6u is not enough. I would say increase at PMPS.

1/2 tsp of pumpkin is a good start, Bronx doesn't like the pumpkin much so have to sneak it in with his fav food. I also use other stuff like digestive enzymes, probiotics, ground flax seed, lax-eze, PetAlive Natural Moves (which he hates but others swear by it), Marshmallow root & turmeric "golden paste" in an attempt to try to get him off lactulose & miralax. Not much luck so far, seems only thing that gets him going is the lactulose.

Ok will increase to 6.5 units tonight. Just wasn't sure if he happened to test under 200 for PMPS. Going to attempt the pumpkin tomorrow. We shall see what happens.

PMPS = 326

Big jump since +8. Wasn't expecting that. Gave 6.5 units. Hoping back into the yellows and maybe blues tomorrow.

Some kitties don't like pumpkin, but will eat babyfood squash. It's an alternative to try if you need to. Make sure Gizmo is getting lots of water in his food too. Keeping hydrated helps regularity,

Good luck with the new dose.
