Franky hasn't had insulin in awhile and I'm hoping this is remission. She's been doing pretty good. Should I keep testing twice a day? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated!

That spreadsheet is beautiful. Normal readings with the AT2 meter according to Idexx are 72 to 175. While Franky has had the odd reading above 175 in the last 2 weeks, all are within meter variance so I think you can safely consider him to be in remission and back off to testing once weekly. Congratulations! Great job! May you and Franky enjoy a long life in remisson together! :D

@Jody Banta You need to have readings within normal range for a period of 14 consecutive days to assume remission. Not sure what meter you are using but for a human meter, normal would be between 50 & 120. The odd reading over 120 (up to roughly 145 for allowed meter variance) would be Ok but without being able to see the pattern or how often you are seeing 160, it's impossible to say for sure. I'd keep testing to see if those slightly higher numbers start dissipating or only occur periodically. Sounds like you are close! Good luck!

I use the Alpha trak 2, yes I will keep testing and she does have a vet check up soon here where they will do a blood test to see how regulated she is.

well we went 8 days then then she went into the 200's so I had to give her a shot in morning and nite and then morning and now went a day without a shot cause her sugar was in the low 100's. going to try the Evo food to see if that will keep her #'s down and wet as a main food she likes her kibble and try to remember to put food up at nite.

Don't get discouraged. Just keep monitoring her and hopefully she'll hold this time. Getting her off any kibble or at least onto a low carb kibble might just be the ticket to success.

up date on mittens went to the vet had a Frutosomine (sp) or also called A1C test in humans which anything under 300 is good well hers was 251 which means its well controlled and she may be reverting into a non-insulin dependent state, remission!! they told me to keep doing what i am doing, and to only give her a shot .5 units if its 200 or more. Last nite I was worried cause her sugar was 174 and I didn't give her a shot usually i would but then this morning it was down to 130 all on its own, so Yeah! she hasn't had a shot now sence the evening of June 6th.

Great news! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mittens can maintain her BG in good range and that you can declare her in remission very soon! :joyful:
