I don't even know where this week went. Next week is our spring break (yay!!!) and there was just a lot going on at work and things that needed to get done before then. In addition to that, the rescue that I volunteer with helped with a hoarding/abandonment case this week. Someone moved and left 25 cats behind. We ended up taking two nursing moms and kittens, 2 other adult cats and two older kittens. I immediately feel in love with a very vocal and active little grey and white boy (see pictures). Since I have more than enough going on with my animals, I decided that I really couldn't foster anyone else though. :(

Walter finally got a long overdue dosecrease yesterday and is looking a bit better today. Mandarin is continuing to do well. Two days ago, he was at 37 by dinnertime... I didn't even realize that cats would go that low without Insulin.

Lenny is feeling better every day. I am just so glad that I decided to get the surgery done and I can't wait for him to be able to move a bit more. Lenny and I are both more than ready to be done with the crate rest. He has an appointment for a recheck and staple removal on Friday and the vet will clear him for physical therapy at that point.

Awwww! I can see why you fell in love with the little fellow. What a cutie!

We've had several cats do that here recently. It isn't something we've seen a lot of in the time I've been here, but suddenly it's happening more often. The way I look at it is: we don't regularly test a non-FD cat, so we really don't know how low they might go at different times, under different conditions.

Walter is looking better with that dosecrease. Work it, Walter!

I'm so glad Lenny's recovery is progressing. Paws crossed you'll get a good report from the vetty and he'll be allowed out of jail soon. Sending healing vines.

Ah he's a little Boomer! :kiss::kiss:
I have considered working at a shelter; I'm afraid I would either be bringing them all home or crying all the time when I couldn't.
Beautiful AMBG Mandarin; so happy to hear that you're doing well OTJ!
Walter...nice to see you in mid blues....work it safely ok?

Happy to hear that Lenny is doing well! Hopefully he will be released from crate-rest soon!

Hope you have a good day Christina!

Walter is working it ! And crazy low for Mandarin. Wonder why some OTJ cats will stay lower than normal numbers How is his appy ?

OMG Christine that kitty itty is so darn cute and looks like a handful. Don't you wish we could save them all? But then the voice of reason speaks about time, money, energy......

Glad that Lenny continues to improve and I had a vision of the grey and white kitty climbing all over his crate making him nuts

Go Mandarin! Way to rock your OTJ status! Walter looks good in blue. ThAt kitten is SO adorable but I agree you have a ton going on juggling all your pets' needs right now. So glad to hear Lenny is doing so well. Paws crossed for a smooth appointment next week.

I think the first picture looks like he's trying to hypnotize you, and in the fourth one he looks so serious. He's quite the character.:cat: What's his name?

Keep working that juice Walter but nice and easy buddy. Glad to hear everything is going good with Lenny and sure hope he gets cleared for PT. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

OM. That kitty is irresistible. Going to be quite a character and so much fun (others might say trouble). I see a lot of laughs coming.

Glad to hear Lenny is doing well post surgery, I hope he can start his rehab soon and be out and about with you all before too long.

Look at Mandarin go this morning:):D and Walter's not to shabby in :cool::cool::cool:

That little boy is gorgeous, such a cheeky little face.:cat:

I've been wondering about this, wondering if it's something that's changed with the meter/strips, I think they've all been relions. (Just a suspicion, haven't investigated)
