A repairman had to come in today to fix my dryer. Noah has always been extremely nervous and hid under a blanket for the entire time and two hours after he left. Now of course he has diabetes and his blood sugar levels went up. Anything I can do to help now? I mean I always felt bad when he was scared, but the BG going up is not good.
Also, Noah has been doing really well lately, but we can't seem to get that green AMPS. I know feeding is not recommended in the second part of the cycle, but Noah has been free feed all his life before diabetes and not having food all the time seems to make him even more nervous. When I put food in the feeder at night he tries to push it open with his paws and his mouth. He sleeps in my bed and I hear him wake up and RUN (he's old... he's usually not a runner) to the feeder when he hears the noise of the feeder moving. Any suggestions?
