Not a happy Bean right now. But it is what it is.
Boomer ate all of his foods last night but needed a fresh treat crumbled on top of the +9 before it was palatable
Yesterday we were able to get out for a walk to my favourite birding spot. As we were getting out of the car we ran into a fellow photographer who told us not to waste our time, there was nothing around. sigh. I had really been hoping for a Bald Eagle. We decided to walk anyways but stopped first at a deck that overlooks the river. Our friend the Muscovy duck (picture posted a few days ago) was still there and accepted some peanuts from DH. I saw a different duck in the water; unidentified for right now but it looked a lot like a female mallard but wasn't so I'm thinking possibly an American Black Duck but will have to ask my birding experts. Anyways, we left the deck and as we were standing there deciding which way to go I noticed a large hawk sitting high up so we headed that direction. And I found trees full of Robins (I know some stayed here during the winter but I've never seen one here in winter let alone 50), two kinds of woodpeckers, some chickadees, a white breasted nuthatch, and a new bird (for me) which was very hard to capture, she certainly didn't stay still for more than a second. This is a Golden Crowned Kinglet.
