I think last night was the scariest night we have had so far. No matter how much gravy and syrup Mandarin got, his numbers would not stay up. He dropped into the 30s at some point and every time I stopped feeding him for more than an hour, his numbers would go below 50 again. Luckily, he was a trooper through it all. He actually came to me for tests and ate everything I put in front of him.
I was so tired and frantic that I totally gave up trying to feed him separately. So Walter also had HC food all night long (hence the awful number this morning). I am still shaky just thinking about it...
I was tempted to skip his shot completely this morning, but since he came up to 91, I felt comfortable giving him 1 U. This is one time where I wouldn't be upset over a bounce. I have to do a dog intro at the shelter at 11 am, but, other than that, I see naps in my future.
