I hope you're feeling better.Oops, sorry, I copied it but forgot to paste it!Here's your link...
I changed to a different food a couple of weeks ago, but he seemed to really like it. I did buy this lot from a different source, so maybe something is different about it. No baby food, but I can get my son to pick some up for me. I'm also getting an appetite stimulant from the vet.I'm sorry Squallie is not wanting to eat. Have you changed his food recently? Sometimes the batches of the same brand of food can be different and cats can get picky. Do you have any baby food (meat only, no veggies) you can try? Or tuna? Sending prayers.I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks, Sandi!Glad that you are feeling better Lucy! Sure hope Squallie's appy picks up today!

Thanks, Bobbie, I sure can use them!Hey Lucy, so sorry he stopped eating for you. Glad you will be able to get an appy stimulate. Sending hugs and appy vines.
So I should give it about 30 minutes before he eats? He gets it twice a day so one before breakfast and one before dinner, then?I used cypro on Marshmallow and I liked it better than Mirtazapine. She got spacey and weird on Mirtz but on cypro she had no side effects. It took about 30 minutes to kick in, then she would eat. Paws crossed it works as well for Squallie.
Thanks! When you used it on Marshmallow was it just temporary? My vet kind of implied, for Squallie, it would probably be a permanent state of affairs.Yes, that should work! Hope his appy comes back soon.
My vet is starting him on 4mg tablets, he gets 2 mg each morning and night. Does that sound about right, dosage-wise?I used it "permanently"....
it really makes a difference and there isn't really a down side....
they can build a tolerance over time so you may find sometimes you need a slight increase in it....
i gave a crumb up to a 1/4 of a pill at different need times....
