Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos

Another long day of driving back and forth to UCD. We're at the bowling alley. This is my first chance all day to sit down at a computer (tablet).

Cinco's bloodwork that they did last week came back looking pretty good. The red cell count was high, but the oncologist said that was due to the anesthesia. He said they were going to switch to a different one and recheck it at the end of the week. I forgot to ask for a copy, so I'll get that tomorrow,

Minka ate most of her breakfast with enthusiasm this morning, before her tummy meds had time to kick in. She really got my hopes up, but the appy petered out later. She ate about a third of a jar of baby food during fluids and didn't want anything else after that. She rejected her early dinner for more baby food, which she was working on when we left.

Sasha ate well today - still SLGS, but CPC eventually. I think I am going to switch her back to Tramadol starting tomorrow - she's been eating her dry food again, so I guess the mouth feels fine.

Harvey's hoover is still stuck on medium - maybe medium high. I made an appointment for him in IM for next week. Time to recheck the kidney values, and I want to discuss the status of his lymphoma and just have him checked over.

Time to go get my pretzel bites. Sorry I haven't done much visiting. I just don't know where the day goes.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Marilyn & Polly, Deborah & Shasta, Carla & her civvie Baby, Wendy & civvie Theo, and Marje & Gracie. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF and DH, Marje's DM, Chris' DM, Molly's DM, and Elise's DM.

Aren't you getting close to half way done the daily commute with Cinco? He is such a champion and you are amazing Tricia. :bighug: Good news on his b/w. I'm curious to see what anesthesia they are switching to.

Still sending appy vines to the rest of the crew. I presume your appy for garlic pretzel bites is just fine. :woot:

If I've been counting right, Cinco's on either treatment 8 or 9? ....half way there!! Interesting on the bloodwork...never heard of anesthesia causing high red cell counts but I've never had a cat go through anesthesia for several days in a row either!

Hopefully Minka will have finished off her jar of baby food by the time you get home. I know it's not the perfect food, but if it's what she'll eat, that's the important part!

Yeah Sasha! Good girl for joining the CPC today!! Even if you take your own sweet time eating, mama appreciates the empty dish!

As for Harvey....well, medium high is pretty darn good! And less likely to trigger a scarf and barf too!

Enjoy your break from THoC...and have an extra order of pizza bites! You deserve them!

Thanks for stopping by, Wendy and Chris. Yes, I got my fill of pretzel bites (a double order:oops:, but I do share).

We are halfway in Cinco's treatment. That's why they did the bloodwork. The anesthetic they are switching off of is Propofol. I am not familiar with the one they are switching to, so I don't recall the name, but I'll ask tomorrow.

Minka had finished the baby food - all but about a teaspoon at the very bottom. I scooped it out and put it on a plate, but she's not interested. I suspect she's waiting for a fresh jar. She did not want her dinner at all. :( Sasha, Harvey and Cinco ate theirs.

Poor Cinco! I am so fried lately that I am making all kinds of dumb mistakes, and the latest was I didn't hit the button that takes the auto feeder off of suspend, so he didn't get his meals while we were gone tonight.:banghead:

Further evidence of my fried brain is that I got another credit card bill today that was past due. Once again, I searched my e-mail and could not find my notification that the statement was ready anywhere (maybe I need to go off of paperless statements)! I can't understand what is happening here. That was a different bank, too. I am going to do that spreadsheet tonight so that I will not have this problem again. I had the same problem last year with my utility bill, and I ended up going to automatic withdrawls, but I don't want to do that with my credit cards. I just wish I could figure out what's happening to my notices.

Time to get Minka's fluids ready. She's waiting on her pillow on the loveseat, with her back turned to her dinner plate.

I'm glad Cinco's b/w was pretty good. I hope Harvey's appointment goes well. Sending appy vines for Minka and Sasha. Sending prayers and hugs. :bighug::bighug:

Hooray for being half way through treatments!! Interesting about his BW.

Continued appy vines for the crew.

I autopay most of my bills, but haven't switched anything to paperless statements for anything because I know they will get lost in the shuffle. I hope you can figure out what's going on without too much trouble....

Morning Tricia :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Many more vines for Cinco. What a trooper.

Bummer on the statement stuff. I do all mine online, but also put together a money manager type thing so I always know what is due when. That has been a lifesaver.

I hope your day goes well today.

Something that I do that's a life saver for me to to write all the due dates on an erasable calendar. Every month I wipe it clean and fill it out to match when all my bills will be due for the month. Once something is paid, I cross it off. The calendar is on our fridge so I ALWAYS have to look at it. Helps a bunch. Hope that idea could help you out as well.

Lots of vines for your kitties (and your sanity). You're doing a wonderful job :) :bighug:

Sorry I haven't done much visiting. I just don't know where the day goes.

Duh! Read your condo, Tricia. I think you'll find where the day goes. Even though I'm pretty sure you must have 36 hours in your day to get everything done. And that doesn't count the pretzel thingy time.

Lots of love to your trooper, Cinco. What a guy. And lots of don't-worry-mama vines to the other three. Oh, some scritches, too.

Bills? Automatic payments for all but two here. And those, thank goodness come due at about the same time. I just sit down, go to my account on line and take care of business. Usually!
