AMPS 256
All was well with my absence yesterday from the house. Sheba's AMPS yesterday morning was 130 which I would normally love, but not so seeing I was out for the day. So I gave her some extra carbs for breakfast and loaded the auto-feeder with some MC food and a drop of honey in a couple of the compartments......probably overkill.....but I felt better walking out the door!! I left her trying to get into the feeder....she could smell the food!
She was pleased to see us on our return and I was pleased to see she was OK. I don't know how you people who work do it. I would have to be giving a lower dose I think. Anyway once out the door I did not worry about her.

We had a lovely day. The weather was hot...35 degrees..but felt less as we were by the harbour. The park is huge running along the foreshore with many old magnificent Morton Bay Fig trees and Norfolk Island Pine trees which provided ample shade to lounge under. The BBQ was delicious and afterwards we all had great fun with egg and spoon races, three legged races and sack races.....haven't laughed so much in ages! Being the harbour there are no waves, but it was still fine for a swim.

Here are a couple of photos........some of the G-kids playing on a surfboard and parents supervising. There is a large marina there in the background which houses hundreds of boats.

Not a bad start today for Sheba. Paws crossed for gentle sliding.

Looks like everyone had a blast yesterday. I am so glad you got to get out and have fun with the family. At least Sheba knew where the food was.

Great to hear you had a good time and that Sheba was a good girl while you were out Bron!!

No matter how China is doing, the first thing I do when I walk in the door is look for her...and let out a big sigh of relief that she's fine!

This morning before it got too hot (35) I thought I would clean out the chicken pen....very overdue!
I was on my way up to the top garden carrying a bail of straw, a broom and a large container when my foot caught on the step and I fell. I was unable to get my hands free in time to help myself and I faceplanted onto the pavers....my nose and glasses taking the brunt of the fall. I have a swollen, very grazed nose ( I look like I have been in a fight) and my glasses have a scrape across the glass....darn! I am amazed they didn't snap in two. Also my left knee and elbow also grazed but not too bad. I am sure to get a black eye. It happened so quickly and sure shakes you up.

Thanks Wendy, Chris, Carla and Serryn for looking in on us.
Yes, the first thing I always do first is check on Sheba when I have been out!

Sorry about your fall. Glad you are okay. Glad Sheba was o.k. while you were out. :)

What a shift in your condo. From the beautiful pictures of a beautiful day to your face plant on the pavers. So glad for the first; so sorry about the second!

Sheba. Be a good girl for the bean. She's got some owies.

Ouch! People will be giving DH the evil looks when you are out together...
:joyful: Yes! Maybe I should lie low for a week! Have got school pickup again later this week with school back on Wednesday........probably get a few looks!

Thanks Carla, Marilyn, Paula and Serryn for caring!
@Paula I have been using a product called Hexarinse on Sheba's chin acne and upper lip....it contains chlorhexadine....and I think it is looking better. It was the only product I could find that had chlorhexadine in it and nothing else that could hurt a cat. It is actually a product for the mouth but seems to be doing the job for the chin acne.

Glad you found this product and that it is working. Michael's chin acne is doing a lot better also, but it is taking forever for it to go away completely.

Ouch! Sorry about that fall! Glasses can be fixed much easier that you, so glad it wasn't any worse. At least you got to enjoy the day yesterday, sounds like a lovely time :)

What wonderful pictures of your picnic, but I am so sorry you had the fall and I hope you are feeling okay now(it sounded like you had a nasty cold or flu awhile back!) :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Sheba, please take care of mamabean K?

Oh poor Bron, I do hope you are okay, not a great start to the day for you, probably find a few extra bruises tomorrow!:bighug::bighug:
So glad to read that Sheba was fine while you were at the family BBQ, sounds a lot of fun and a great time was had by all it seems, lovely pics, can't believe you are coming into summer while we are drifting into Autumn.
Sheba, you be a good girl today and don't give your mamabean anything else to worry about.

+9 347 bouncing along. I am hoping she will slide off the bounce tonight.
Thanks Gabrielle, Ruth, Ella and Suki for checking up on us.
Very hot here today and hard to get motivated to do anything.
Sheba hasn't moved from her bed in the kitchen today.....just too hot.
I'm starting to feel a bit stiff and sore as the day wears on from the fall, and I look a fright!

Rest up today Bron and take it easy, you've had a nasty shock to the system with your fall. When I tripped and fell spreadeagled across the kitchen floor a few weeks back, I found my arms and shoulders were really painful the next day, where I had tried, unsuccessfully, to break my fall.

Sit in the shade and enjoy a good book...or just have a nap, Dr. Suki's orders!
