I love all cats - I really do, but these 2 are that bit extra special because they were so wild to begin with. I can't believe, looking at them now, that I was advised not to take them on - they've turned into the most loving, cuddly lap cats I've ever had! I really do have a soft spot for ferals now and would most definitely choose more feral kittens if I was thinking about getting any more cats (at the moment, I'm told that's out of the question with 6 in the house, but we'll see - we took on the 6th last summer after deciding "no more" too

) It's almost as if, with ferals, once you do gain their trust you become their property and the bond they create with you is a very special and loving one...Regan was already a bit over attached to me because she had pneumonia at 4 months old and almost died - I took time off work and carried her around everywhere to keep her warm and get her better. And now it seems Rosa has gone the same way with all the shots and tests I've had to do for her. While I can tell she's happy not to have the shots any more, I do think she knows I was helping her to feel better and she's been more affectionate than ever before in the last few weeks!

While we are of course delighted that she's off insulin now, we know we could cope if she comes out of remission some time in the future, though of course we hope she'll continue to do well with just the low carb diet.

Gracie's story starts out so sad with having to catch her for treatment, but what a wonderful ending to it. I love it when a cat is so relaxed with you that they can sleep so hard.

And it's so sweet when they want to follow you everywhere and be involved in everything you do, from greeting you when you get home to helping with chores in their own special way!!
Zoey does seem to like her dive and bounce routine at the moment doesn't she? It will settle down I'm sure - it just takes a while for them to remember that the lower numbers are good.

And please do shout if you need help or reassurance later on (or any other time of course) - I think we've all had days where what looks like it should be a quiet night turns out to be a roller coaster ride!! Our kitties do love to keep us guessing!
