Good Morning, Everyone,
It's +9 degrees, but expected to be in the 40s today with rain on the way for tonight and tomorrow. I hope the roads will not be flooded for our trip to the IM specialist and ultrasound in Vermont tomorrow. It's going to be a long day. Rusty's appointment is at 11 A.M. (+4.5), but because a ferry is involved, we have to allow 3 hours to get there, so will leave here at 8 A.M. I think I will give him his normal dose, since, even if he doesn't eat much breakfast, he will have eaten most of his nighttime food close to the time we get up (i.e., right before breakfast--this is his pattern). We'll take along some food so that he can eat-- if he will eat--before the trip home. But I doubt that he will want to eat.
Rusty had a good night (after a coughing spell at bedtime). This morning he finished all of his nighttime food and has begun grazing on his breakfast. At present he is sleeping in his little bed by the radiator. He didn't want a schmooze this morning.
Now I've got to get back to filling out the "Patient History Form" and thinking about what I want to say to the IM vet. She is apparently highly regarded. She has 2 cats, especially likes older cats, and is an outdoorswoman.
Wishing everyone a good day and sending vines to all beans and kitties in need,
Ella & Rusty
