Hi LL!

Sheesh! Time got away from me one again. It's been just over two weeks since Eddie's last condo. Last time we posted, Eddie was on the verge of earning a reduction based on a week in normal numbers. On day 7, he had a single slightly out of range number (of course), but we decided to try the reduction anyway. For the first couple days on his new dose of 0.25, he was just a tiny bit higher overall...about 10 points higher on average, but still within normal. We opted to hold the dose and hold our breath to see if he'd come down just a tiny bit on his own. Eddie made it 5 1/2 days in normal numbers on his new dose at 0.25 but then we had a potato chip incident with some slightly out of range numbers to follow, so he didn't make it to day 7 in normal numbers to earn a reduction. A couple days later, he got back on track, and we started counting normal number days again. Today will be day 7! :D Barring a disaster (anti-jinx!!!), Eddie looks like he'll make it through this cycle tonight to earn his next reduction.

Since we use calipers for dosing, and do dosing increments by 1/8 unit measurements, his next dose will be 0.125, or 0.2mm. I figure that's basically the equivalent of the final 1/10 unit dose that folks do before attempting an OTJ trial. :nailbiting::D His new dose will start tomorrow morning.

Eddie's dental is scheduled in 8 days for April 1st. It will be very interesting to see where he's at in dose at that time.

From a WCR standpoint, Eddie's doing great! He continues to have at least one, if not two, good blastarounds each day. Before the snowfall last night, he'd been enjoying some nice spring weather on the deck each day, too. Appetite has been good as usual. Perhaps a little too good immediately after the potato chip incident, when Eddie remembered that he used to like to steal people food. He seems to mostly have forgotten about food thieving over the past several days, so hopefully that's done and over with.

Vines and hugs to all kitties and beans in need. Off to read some condos to try to get caught up.

Looks like Skooter and Eddie will be dental buddies! Skooter is scheduled for his dental on the first as well. Congrats on all the hard work and getting Eddie so close to his OTJ trial!!!! Hopefully the dental will be just the edge he needs to be done with the silly insulin!!!!

Skooter's vice is baked doritos and baked Cheetos......Skooter will try to bat them out of my hands. Good thing I am trying to eat better so I don't have to hide (yes I literally tried to hide from him when I would eat them) the doritos and Cheetos when I get them lol

We got about 2-3 inches of snow in the south metro, what did you guys get?

Fingers, toes and paws all crossed here! Eddie is doing SUPER! :D:D:D:D Darn potato chips! :p:p

Eddie's double date on the dentals. We'll be thinking of you that day. Neko and China had one the same day too.

Go Eddie!!!! He is looking amazing! :D:D:D Billie would love some chips if Eddie could steal a few more... She used to steal a lot of weird people food, including mashed potatoes and my grandma's lemon poppyseed bread. I can't walk away from a plate if she's paying attention. Good luck with the next dose!!

Hi Ladies! Thanks for your visits!

Molly - we got about 2-3 inches. It actually looked really pretty falling last night. How funny that both our boys will be undergoing their dentals on the same day. We go to a wonderful vet in Hopkins. Where's Skooter getting his done? Wouldn't that be crazy if they were going to the same vet for their dentals on the same day??

Hi Wendy - darn potato chips is right! Eddie had been really pretty good about leaving people food alone, but DH busted him running away with a potato chip before AMPS one morning, but caught him before he could eat it. I wasn't aware of this incident, and left the bag of chips out in the afternoon, and there were visible tongue marks all over the bag by evening when we got home from work. After that, Eddie decided he could help himself to people food, and was busted taking a bite out of a bag of bread left on the counter, stealing a pizza crust off the counter, which I got away from him before he could eat it, and attempting to steal a jelly bean. Naughty! That's what we get for getting lazy about leaving food laying around, I guess. Lesson learned.

Hi Deanna! Eddie will bring the potato chips, pizza crust, and jelly beans, and Billie can bring the ice cream! Partaaaaayyyy! :p

How nice to see an Eddie condo. Especially one with such pretty numbers and good news! Good luck with the reducie. We will all have our paws crossed here that it goes well and Eddie can take the next step soon. :D

On the potato chip and other food swiping. I guess that's another sign Eddie is feeling really good!
