I wouldn't be too surprised if she bounces - it's been a while since she's surfed green so her body might well react to it. If not, then it'll depend on exactly what number you get PMPS and how much more brave you think you can be in one day!!

Personally, I'd go 30 minutes again as she didn't really move between +3 and +3.5.

I'd go 30 mins too, it won't always be so intense, we're doing our learning Lucy now

And stop talking yourself out of continuing a possible roll at PMPS already young lady! We'll worry about that when we get there :)

You made me laugh Serryn at the young lady :). It is all relative isn't it. I am relaxing now with the 4.3 reading at +4 :D:cool:.

Sounds good - it's all about being comfortable with those green numbers. Every time she gets through a green cycle OK, you'll relax a little bit more. :)

Serryn yes a tone of authority indeed. Yes I am thinking the same to not test for an hour now. See how relaxed I am now :nailbiting:.

The most important thing you can learn from tonight is that you have the ability to steer her blood sugar by using carbs. You have power.
This is the confidence I need to build yes and possibly the small amount of high carb Whiskas did give a small boost to the glucose levels and I have been feeding a teaspoon or two every hour of low carb food too.

What a beautiful cycle for Lucy--:D:D Great job overcoming your fears Voula- remember you are in control and you are never alone on this forum! :bighug:
Thank you Ruth. I so appreciate everyone's support and guidance. I just did a +5 and surfing along nicely still at 4.3/77.

Just wanted to suggest you take good notest so later you can look back and see that 1 tablespoon of that brand of gravy raised her x amount by 30 minutes.

Remember your goal right now is to keep her green as long as possible so her body gets used to it.

I would stop giving her extra food now unless she dips below 50. Let's not overcarb her and send her out of greens unnecessarily.

Just about to say what Julie said about not pushing the food any further now, she is surfing great!

ETA - it's good to note what you fed in guiding the numbers in the remarks section of her spreadsheet so we can all have a sticky beak as required

Thank you Julie. I stopped giving high carb food when the glucose level went over 4/72. The next small snack I gave was low carb food. So I won't feed any more food now until Lucy asks for food and see what happens to the glucose levels in the meantime.

+7 7.4/133. I need to go out for a little while a little later on so I will test again before I go but I presume it will be safe to leave the house if the glucose levels are still in blue numbers.

She should be fine now until her next shot time - she's come up nicely and the hc you gave her will be out of her system now too so she's rising on her own. :)

She's also very likely to bounce - her body hasn't seen green numbers in a long time. You may have as many as 3 days of higher numbers before she comes down - or it may be shorter. But in any case, i agree, take a break and let her ears go until your pmps.

Great job Voula! Good day for you!

I too have been watching from the distance. Great job today Voula. :D:D You've gathered a lot of good data, Lucy got to surf some healing greens, and it was all done safely. Awesome day.:)

Thank you Serryn, April, Julie, Wendy and Sandy. I stopped testing at +7 to give us both a break. I even went out for a couple of hours once I saw Lucy's glucose was rising and Julie yes we have had a bounce with a high PMPS.
