? zyrtec dosing

What dose is the max for cats?
1/4 tablet twice a day isnt helping mr b much. Shall i increase to 1/2?

just started mr b on 1/4 tab today for some sneezing and snuffling. Might be an underdose for 14 lb cat but i wanted to be safe.

Should i expect any behavioral changes, like more sleep than usual or anything?

Hi Jen,
Don't know about kitties but I use it myself regularly for allergies and it has zero drowsiness effect. I will say, though, that the tablets are very bitter in taste.

Mine gets 1/2 tablet once a day. I find he's a little more alert on the Zyrtec than he was on the Chlortrimeton.

Is it 1/2 tablet at once? The 1/4 tablet doesnt seem to be having an impact on mr b's nose troubles so i thought maybe an increase. Just wanna be sure----

I gave Max 1/3-1/4 a 10mg twice a day for a virus but it seemed to help his appetite. I used cyproheptadine as an appetite stimulant.

thanks. we tried 1/4, then a 1/2. doesnt seem to be helping his sinuses much. we're switching back to chlorpheniramine to see if that helps.
