Young again zero mature continued success

I started a thread about Cashy's success with this food and his diabetic remission.

Have not posted on this for some time. Let me say that Cashy has been Young Again Zero Mature now for a year and a half. He is still doing fine with the last random blood sugar being 70. He has not needed any insulin since he got settled with the food. I had pointed this out to our vet and he has examined the cat and found him to be in great shape for almost 19 years old. When the diagnosis was made Cash had developed neuropathy in his hind quarters and had a wobbly gait He was down to 9.8 pounds.That has all gone away. Cash runs and plays like any other cat. Today he is 15 pounds.

We discussed the fact that a high protein diet might be hard on the liver and kidneys but he said that so is diabetes. Maybe it is a trade off.

We have four other cats they are all fed high on shelves. Since he developed the neuropathy he doesn't go vertical much and we are glad for it. His food is prime eatings for all our cats. We have to get his food bowl out for his feeding then have to put it away until he asks for more. The four cats and our 4 dogs would make that food go away fast. As it is he eats two large bags of food a year about 275 dollars worth. But no insulin or syringes and no other food.

I am so glad that I found out about this food through others on this forum. Cash is older than any other cat that we have owned and is in good shape. He runs and plays with us and the other cats. He is the only cat that gets along with all of other cats. If he is outside he will run toward us when he sees us.

We got Cash as an adult cat. Not relevant but he is a pure black black or sable colored cat and the previous owner called him a "man in black" or Johnny Cash.

I wish your cat was doing better.

We had an old cat about 10 years ago (when we lived in another state) that when we took her in for weight loss they said her labs were a mess but not diabetes. My wife found a bad tooth and the vet said it was not worth it to pull the tooth, the cat had no good prognosis. We had a friend over one night. He is a dentist. I told him about the tooth and within minutes we at his office and he had that tooth out. Labs down the road were greatly improved. The Vet said that he didn't understand it. I told him the story. Maybe educated him about it. The cat lived several more years.

Years before, maybe in the 80's we had a vet that if he had to knock them out for anything he always cleaned their teeth. He would show you a paper towel covered in bits of calculi afterward. He was a great vet.

Cash was diagnosed almost two years now.

Cc had a dental with three teeth out this summer. We had hoped that would do the trick. It didn't.
