Well I haven’t seen a yellow in like 2 mos...

He still pretty out of it today he’s also still limping. I don’t know if his legs are sore from the procedure since he was under for about two hours or if he hurt himself or if the anesthesia still wearing off or nuropathy.

I put a call into the vet.

He ate some fancy feast beef that I watered down this morning and just had some baby food
 
That's fantastic that he's eating! Is he limping on the paw where he had the IV? I could be wrong but from what I remember about Leo's neuropathy, it doesn't happen suddenly it usually happens over time and it's usually both back legs not just one. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Poor little thing! I sure hope that limp improves...nice that you're seeing a better number already - on possibly a lower dose too?? A bubble? I hope he'll relax and rest up...that's an ordeal!

I can’t really tell. It could be the IV

Yeah, you are right. Maybe it is the IV. I can’t tell where he’s limping...

Lol, I hear you. Leo went for a dental not that long ago and I was beside myself with worry, plus they needed him in the night before which just added to it. :(
Hopefully it's just the IV site and it stops bothering him soon. :bighug: Try feeling his paws to see if he reacts to the IV one.
 
Did they shave the spot where the IV went in? If so, maybe you can see if the skin is bruised there. You need to keep pressure on the site after removing the IV, and maybe they didn’t hold long enough for he was showing a little cattitude.

Yeah for yellow! Often after a furshot or skipped dose, you will see a bit of action the the next cycle or two. It we can always hope it’s a sign of better things to come. It can take 10 days or so before you see any results, due to inflammation. Plus you have to wait at least four more cycles for the depot to refill. Do you have a follow on checkup visit in a week with the vet?

I have to look at his arm. He’s somewhere sleeping. I don’t think he slept much last night. Whenever I checked on him he was staring in space.

What do you mean four more cycles for the depot to refill? Does the depot get empty? I read the sticky a while ago and I didn’t quite understand.

I follow up with the vet in 2 weeks.

Skipping or reducing a dose can deplete the depot. It also means you have to restart the cycle count in terms of how many cycles you wait before increasing. Having said that, look at that! Yellow again tonight. Woohoo! :woot:

Oh, I had no idea! I’m always learning something!

Yes, another yellow. I’m trying not to get my hopes up because I know these guys can be tricky. I’m also trying to get a plus 6.

Of course he’s seeing yellow but now his leg is wonky. I hope he walks better tomo. Mommas tired....

The vet tech called. She was asking what leg he was limping on and I was like I couldn’t tell. But I thought it was the one that had the IV. She basically told me to watch it and that Sometimes older cats take a while to come out of anesthesia completely. And basically to see how he is tomo.

When he was addicted to drugs yesterday and completely bouncing around like a pinball and I couldn’t control him, he slipped a little bit on the stair. That could be it too
